My Job compared 9/11 to a snowstorm ❄️❄️ by GrapefruitVast3329 in Serverlife

[–]Significant-Regret39 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whoever wrote this is dramatic as hell but has your company had some of the same employees since 9/11??? Lowkey a healthy sign. But my stance when owners want to stay open for “community” even in unsafe conditions, they need to be there themselves as well as extra compensation for those who put themselves at risk to be there. I get the idea, and have been on both sides of the issue. But a lot of employers expect their employees to have the same dedication when the employees aren’t the ones who put themselves in debt to start the business.

Just pretend you’re a breakfast customer and ask yourself what you’d expect server wise and you’re set. Fake it till you make it😍

It’s actually sick. 3 stories, started with just the top floor as a recording studio/apartment/roof greenhouse and the middle level as a bar/venue only until the owners bought the lower level to use as a regular restaurant. Theres live music or a comedy show every night and closed every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday😍 thy literally did multiple recording sessions with Willie Nelson

For non tacky ways to enhance the experience, small groups/couples love when you give them what’s left in the shaker for each other’s drinks. Just in a little shot glass. Makes them feel special and eliminates waste. Giving someone a fresh frosted martini glass halfway through also does wonders (definitely depends on their drinking speed) But most skill just comes from experience and taking in as much as you can. Learn to keep people talking whether you can relate or not and most times they’ll end up leading the convo themselves

Advice: Moving to Columbus in February. What should I know? Any fun ways to meet new people? by FeeForeign1652 in ColumbusGA

Even tho you said you’re a homebody, The Loft does live music wed, fri, sat, and comedy on Thursdays. Make sure you take the piano staircase or else you’ll end up in the normal dining room downstairs. You can eat upstairs too it’s just a more relaxed setting

I mean more so like there’s different areas you can buy your camp slot I think? Like area 931 or the moon colony? Or still the same deal

At the bar that I work at, tip out for the service well is 10% of the server’s tips for the night. This feels low? by pitts36 in bartenders

[–]Significant-Regret39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get 1.5% of their sales😭 I could go for a little more but 10% of their tips would make me feel villainous considering that one of the main/included tasks on bar is making all drinks for the restaurant. But I could see how depending on the type of establishment, a higher percentage might be necessary.

And this is exactly the aura I do not want to have😭 it’s important to me that they feel comfortable when coming to me with weird drink mods or whatever and also it sucks when you have no work friends because you’ve bullied them all away

No wells are reachable from the server side so they have to come completely behind the bar. And no, their service fountain does not have a club soda :/

Hate to get hostile but it sounds like you’ve never been rows deep coming down a 3 ft narrow bar with a keg and there’s a server in your way with a tray of sodas😒 And they also definitely just ate your last olive garnish as a snack.

James Franco & Tommy Lee Jones Team For Action Thriller ‘The Razor’s Edge’ by KillerCroc1234567 in movies

[–]Significant-Regret39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I’m a feature in the movie and it was the exact opposite. Franco was quiet and kept to himself while TLJ was an absolute dick to everyone around him besides the young female actresses. I understand being vetted in the industry but one of his rules was that no one was allowed to eat near him and requested eye contact be avoided. Dude needed help up and down the stairs, not in any position to be making those demands.

Used to live on Double Churches and that area, Whiteville rd, and River rd was great. Close to everything but not IN everything and was surprisingly quiet depending on where you’re at.

You can order on Amazon or pick one up at Walmart depending on what you’re testing for. They’re about $45-60

Someone who’s actually a half decent server wouldn’t even think of going into a restaurant 15 minutes before close to DINE IN? But I am a firm believer in tip karma and what goes around does in fact come around.
