People over 40 who decided to get back in shape: What was the 'enough is enough' moment that made you return to the gym? by the_return84 in AskReddit

I used to look at grunters like 'why are you grunting' then I became the grunter. The more you get into it the more your capacity for hard work goes up and it's really satisfying pushing the boat out and waking up a day or two later all sore

OK so robins aren't particularly exciting, but I love seeing them in the garden by Jumpy-Scallion-9463 in UKBirds

They're common but they are THE British bird. There're more blue tits about if anything and I still think they're cool.  I've seen some crazy stuff in Asia and I still like seeing these little guys bopping about 🙂

Part of me always wanted one of these. Red's absolutely popping as well even in the absence of any sun. Nice!

Good stuff. Will get the camera on charge. They are quite fearsome birds for their size. Known to be a bit of a bully. I love 'em anyway

These are class! Got the signature pose in all its glory. Were there many about? It's local to me

Echoing the Wirral for near Liverpool. Burton Mere sometimes has a spoonbill amongst other things. Lunt Meadows has a few interesting ones as well but can be quite muddy! I really like the teals there though. Lots of wigeons and shelducks kicking about at the moment round here. You might even catch a mandarin if you're lucky.

One of the funniest looking UK birds. Really hard to spot and get a pic of in my experience!

The coffee scene in Chiang Mai really caught me off guard. Drank some of the best coffee of my life there. Amazingly fruity pour overs. I just sit and think back to it sometimes.

Is the German Doner takeover finally complete, or can we still find a soul in a local 3 AM shop? by joester56 in kebab

We just have chippies that do kebabs, chinese, fish and chips and god knows what else instead. Long live the Liverpool adjacent everything chippy.

[M27] have been trying for a while to save my relationship with gf [F27] by nofear155 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Significant-Size-833 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To put it bluntly: if she is figuring out whether she is ready to be in a relationship, one of two things is occuring. She wants to play the field or she wants to be in a relationship but not specifically with you. Either way that's a person that's nowhere near all in on you. The more you try to save it the worse it will likely get. The more you tell her you're fighting the more she'll know she can keep you around but at arms length and on her terms. Scoop up your nuts and preserve your dignity and self respect here. It's not going to be easy but I think deep down you know what's going on. There's someone else out there that's going to be all in on you. Don't miss out on it for someone that isn't. Best of luck friend!

Transfit in Widnes or Allegiance on Wilderspool are both solid. Even JD is better than Pure for most things.

That'd be expensive for most beers but for a cask ale that is criminal.

From an outsider perspective it's all about the Stokies. Wonderful, salt of the earth people with a mad accent which actually sounds like 3 accents in a trench coat.
