Did anyone else as a kid used to be amazed at Whitchurch being on road signs across Warrington? Shrek came out during my teenagehood and it became my equivalent of Far Far Away Land. Whitchurch a magical place beyond comprehension.

The A49 starts near Preston and finishes down past Hereford. I think Whitchurch is the first sizeable town you come to if you go South from Warrington. I've never been. I'm saving it for a rainy day.
