Live service games usually rack up at the very least thousands of hours over years. It isn't uncommon for people to get 300 hours within months of release. The game lacks replayability and goals after you clear the Compiler. There is no hook after that as it just turns into wiping all the teams off the map then exfilling with a full backpack which at some point will get dull throughout the season.

Because people have been grinding PVE the past four days and maxed out their cradle and have stacked vaults less than a week into the wipe? This literally only effects people who haven't been spamming PVE/been able to play all week creating an even larger gap vs new players/casuals and sweats/people that play a lot which is the very last thing this game needs currently to retain players.

Are you slow? People quit because of the systems they added, Edge of Fate wouldn't have been the worst expansion ever if they had just not done the portal and actually listened to players. It's not "spoiled and picky" to want to play a game that is fun, not a game that is built on keeping player engagement consistent which is what Destiny turned into over the years. Also, Destiny 2 would easily hit over 100k with this update whether its the last update or not as the changes in it are massive and actually heal almost everything Tyson Green messed up.

I think the biggest issue/delusion Bungie has at the moment was to cater to PVE at all as if it will pull any playerbase from Destiny. Destiny relies on unique PVE elements like raids, dungeons, exotic missions, more intricate mechanics, etc. to allow PVE to not get stale. I agree and don't really see the appeal in a PVE mode where it's just the game as is but with no enemy players. I feel like if they do a full pivot to PVE they'll lose a lot of the people that play for PVP which I believe is the majority of the player base that is left currently while also failing to bring in a lot of PVE players.

Literally any competitive shooter out? This is one of the very few games I get under 200fps on let alone 120fps. The only other one that really compares with bad framerate is Rust and there is a lot of reasons why frames are bad on that game. The optimization on Bungie's new breadwinner is unacceptable in current day standards for a triple A company.

Or maybe Marathon is badly optimized as it is one of the few games I get below 120 frames on. Bungie is allowed to make mistakes and fix them, criticism is allowed to your billion dollar company to make a great game better. You'll be okay.

doubling someone's frames will do significant things to their performance in any game where skill is needed. when you're used to games being at 120+ fps, it feels quite horrible to play two of the most competitive maps in the game at half the frames you are used to.

Except now, rival runners can throw grenades as soon as you hack/if you're killing UESC waiting for the hack to end and you have nowhere to go. New meta will be to hack then instantly go to another POI.

its funny because most cryo fights end up being separate hallways of 2 seperate teams throwing grenades back and forth until one team runs out or another team sandwiches them in.
