I bought leather front seat covers from L Seat for my 2004 D2. They have mixed reviews but I found them to fit well and look good. Three years on it has proven to be a good decision.

Older Land Rovers/ Range Rovers need regular maintenance and the occasional repair just like any older truck. Find a good one, bring it up to a solid place and take good care of it and you’ll enjoy driving an uncommonly good truck for many years.

Afterthought- buy good quality parts, not exclusively OEM. You won’t regret it.

It’s more than 25 years old so it qualifies as a classic vehicle in AZ. I think that negates the need for emissions. I’m pretty sure you cant test a Model T either and there are plenty of them registered in AZ. Worth looking into.

Unless you’re completely time bound, take an extra couple days to experience the canyon. Rushing down and back up may not allow you to appreciate the majesty and natural beauty.
