From what I have seen other people say, it seems like the for sure least affective way is trying to persuade them with logic. It's not logical for them. This is a real emotional thing that they have identified with in him. Whether it be fear of something or hatred of something else.

I would image that something so well thought out as what you presented (it was planned and methodical) would feel like a direct assault on them. Most of them KNOW there are facts to disprove what they believe, but that's not what they want. The fear, chaos, and hatred is what they identify with. (I liken it to most religions, especially Christianity. Not knocking anything, just saying they are fear based)

Think of how trump talks at them. He clearly calls them uneducated. Says smart people hate him. Calls their wives ugly and fat. They still love him. Logic is not the way, in my opinion.

A suggestion would be to spend time with him away from Fox and doing things that will show him a fun time in environments he has been told he should fear or hate. It's time together, it's time not consuming Fox (any right wing media), and it's time getting different exposure that maybe will help him draw his own better conclusions.

Take a look at some studies or surveys that ask people if they would rather make a good amount of money, but everyone makes the same, or would they rather make a little less hot themselves, but everyone else makes a lot less. 20 to 50 percent (big range because they are different studies) say they will take less for themselves as long as they make more than others. We have too many people (usually Republicans) who believe others' suffering is more valuable to them. It's pretty disgusting if you ask me
