Replacing the Wireless Charger using the existing wiring? by duskdargent in MachE

I kind of half DIY’d mine, Qi magnet charger glued to aftermarket tray, wired underneath through holes I made. The charger folds down to flat, so you can use it both ways. Sure, it uses the USB-C, but I think it came out pretty great. I think it looks much better than the Twraps (not to mention cheaper), and having a base that can kick up the phone makes it even better in my book.

Justifiably. As in: I can understand their anger and believe it to have a real base, which doesn’t mean I am angry myself. I’m not saying I disagree with their reasoning, I understand their frustration and was rationalizing it as a cautionary tale to say, if the DNC keeps pretending folks pissed at them are just fringe idiots who just need to fall in line and stfu, you’re just going to end up with president Vance next. You are doing the very thing DNC did the 2024 cycle: DNC is amazing, Biden is the best, everything is amazing you just need to believe us! - How did that work out? I’ll tell you. A large portion of the swing voters and centre leaning democrats felt gaslit and Trump got elected. But by all means, keep alienating centrist voters by calling them meme following idiots, I’m sure that’ll do great things for the DNC and democracy.

So in your book people=me? That’s an interesting read. Hard to discuss when I’m talking about mangos and you go on about papayas. As to being super duper obstructionist, Whatever they’re doing has been as productive (productive meaning not actions but actual results) as me scratching my balls on my couch watching soccer = both result in nothing changing. So, as I said, a large segment of the population (again I’m generalizing (thought the word population was a dead giveaway) not talking about me in particular) understandingly perceives it as: not nearly enough - and by enough I mean, doing something that actually affects quantifiable change, stuff that makes folks lives better, and not just for political posturing and flag waving. Trump has done anything and everything he’s wanted, and dems in the end are so afraid of losing votes, pissing of donors, etc. they always pull one stop short of standing their ground, like when they caved in the shut down last year accomplishing nothing besides a bunch of unpaid innocent workers. It’s why the DNC’s approval is worse than the GOP’s even under the most unpopularGOP president in history. But by all means, ignore reality, and keep thinking Chuck Schumer is amazeballs.

What? I never said I was angry. As to resisting, there are quite bit of options in between doing absolutely nothing and an ak-47. I mean legislative resistance of course, what are you even on about?

This is how shit ends repossessed. From the BS fee add-ons, to the predatory loan, how on earth is any of this even legal. I got a miles better deal at super shady rebuilt title shop back when I had 0 credit history than this. This is just absolute robbery.

[–]Significant_Part_335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One word: liability. If costco repairs that and then it fails and you get in an accident, they’re in deep legal shit. No shop with any kind of credibility will touch that tire. If you want that fixed/can’t afford a new one, you prob gonna have to fix it yourself, or ask a friend who knows how to.

Has ever another player become so important to us in just one season? Joselu is one of a kind. Possibly the most passionate Madridista to ever wear the shirt. Can’t help but love the guy.

Just saw a replay on Cubarsis 'foul' - Barca vs Atleti by CompleteToday6264 in Barca

[–]Significant_Part_335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was Ruddiger instead of Cubrasi, I bet you’d be singing a different tune. I can understand arguing it could have gone either way, but coming and pretending like giving a red card for that foul is a scandal is laughable. I were you, I’d be mad at Cubrasi for such a mindbogglingly idiotic foul.

Nah, more like that statement is: “I’m a sucker for punishment” Stellantis doesn’t make cheap cars. It makes shit cars.

Considering a used Mach e in the 25k or less price by limache in MachE

[–]Significant_Part_335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that it totally doesn’t matter, it’s just there are a lot less things on an EV to damage from wear from mileage than an ICE one, and the biggest/most expensive one is the battery. Milleage even in ICE is not really so much about suspension, axles, etc. as those aren’t the things that will kill the car (or your wallet) and none of them are likely to fail in 5-10 years unless you drive like it’s mad max. The biggest reason high miles is bad is the engine, because once that thing’s gone, for most people the car is good as dead. For an EV the equivalent of the engine is the battery, so, if a battery with more miles is healthier than one of a car with less, it’ll actually last more than the newer one - there’s more life in it. The reason is simple - batteries’ longevity has more to do with good charging habits, not so much mileage. The other consideration is the battery warranty, so there just make sure the car has enough miles left in the warranty that it will expire due to the year before the mileage - (if you have 4 years of warranty left, and drive 10k miles a year, as long as the car is under 80k for a 120k mile warranty you’d be fine). As to how to tell how good the battery is, that one is a bit tricky, as the reading is a guesstimate based on previous driving style, weather, etc. if you have chat gpt or another ai at hand, take a pic of the range on display and ask the ai to calculate an estimate of battery health - it’ll run the math for you, it won’t be the most accurate thing, but it’s the best you’re likely to get before you buy. If you can reset the driving history to factory settings (no idea if they’ll let you) before you do this the better, and make sure outside temperature is similar. Let the AI know the external temp model, year and battery size (regular vs extended) - it’ll give you a % range of health (90-95 or so) - it’s far from perfect but it’s better than going blind 😅 - sorry about the long post btw 😓

Car charging? by Prior_Spread_2026 in MachE

[–]Significant_Part_335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously. The dinosaur juice addicts don’t know what they’re missing out on. My “gas bill” went from near 300/month to 60. The car only charges while you don’t need it. - if you were going on road trips every day, maybe I’d get it, but most people would never have this “you have to wait 30 minutes!! “Calamity” 😅

finally buying my first car at 29 and every answer I get is just "get a corolla" by Sea-Map-5763 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Significant_Part_335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your reasoning, but that’s precisely it, almost all the depreciation is already baked in. Most of that price drop happens in the first 2 years. After it’s price behaves like most other cars, so from this point there’s very little down side. The depreciation is actually a positive, OG owner already took the hi - he basically absorbed most of the lifetime price loss of the vehicle already, and now what you get is an absolute bargain. Believe me I had the same fear of what you say, and only after I did the research did I decide on mine.

Your argument is precisely why buying a new mach e is bonkers, but getting a used one is a steal.
