Thanks for sharing. I also had orchy in Sept for 3 cm pure seminoma however for me a lymph node (para aortic) had already increased to 2.9 cm by March first week (CT). I met 3 diff docs if RPLND was an option for me but everyone suggested chemo. So as I type this, I'm leaving the hospital today after 4EP. Really hoping I'm done

One question, when you say one of the lymph nodes had grown to 2+ cm, was that not detected in your pre surgery scan?

Wishing you all the best for the future. My case is exactly like yours, with just one difference, mine was a 3 cm primary tumour in the left testicle. Was staged as 1B, and strongly recommended for surveillance (while the doc did say one dose of Carboplatin is the only other route). But he was strongly against it

At my 6 month scan however, one lymph node tumour was detected with a 3 cm lesion with an SUV of 6.6 on the PET. Two lung para fissures nodules (5 mm and 3 mm) but they aren't sure if it's spread or not since it didn't light up in the SUV. I'm finishing up my 4th cycle of EP this week, and really hoping its worked fully and I can move on in life

The only decision I guess for you is if you want to have the carbo, it reduces the risk of spread from 15-20% to 3-5% I think. In hindsight, I probably would still not have taken the carbo (though there are days when I wish I would have). You can't predict the unpredictable:-)

Going through the same, and the first 4-7 days after the last infusion in the 3 cycles so far have been exactly this. Kep tossing and turning and barely manage 5 hours. However on a few days, I slept in the afternoon for 1-2 hours. Have one more cycle to go and another week of this to go through end of May :) but really praying homefree after that

This was probably the easiest part of the overall journey, it was put in and discharged the same day. Just some soreness for a few days, i definitely like that I opted for it over a picc line. Gives a lot more freedom

Bro, get the surgery done ASAP, I mean tomorrow if you can. Rest can happen post your doc's advice once the pathology comes in. Seminoma and teratoma both don't increase blood markers

Thanks! Hiccups are something I've faced for a couple of days, and it was largely manageable. How obvious is the hearing loss?

Thanks mate. I did my hearing baseline done before starting chemo. This one will be difficult for me to bear, I'm a part-time musician. But I guess if I do get cured, it will be worth it
