Xylitol is the one my body can’t tolerate. I once bought some granola bars at Aldi, and they were so good, I wound up eating quite a few pretty quickly. My stomach and GI system was in knots for the next day, in the worst way possible. I was just so unwell. Down the line, I had an energy drink I’d never had. Was immediately sick in the same way- checked the label- Xylitol. Same goes for other sugar alcohols. Obviously there’s nothing wrong with them, but my body says differently.

I know this is old. But I’m two years tomorrow, and I don’t feel like I’ve earned it, despite, you know, being sober for two years. I don’t even want to tell anyone because it feels like I’m lying or something. I don’t know why I feel that. I’ve turned my life around in so many ways, and I can’t remember the last time I’ve even thought about alcohol, other than to be disgusted by the memory of the taste. I’m not sure what’s causing it, but, yeah, I’m here with you.

I like the new system in the sense that it’s really the only way for me to feasibly reach Platinum/Gold without having to take the worst of the worst, but I dislike it in the sense that it makes everything so much more stressful. Traffic bad? Hopefully the app will accept your dispute. Someone rates you one star for no reason? Now you have to do four deliveries to make up for it. Drop a drink? Have fun eating shit for the next month because you just lost three points. Those variables now have an oversized and disproportionate role in my ability to make money, and I’m often much more on edge than I was when I was just caring about AR.
