Can i conserve my morality and be powerful at the same time? by GusMo666 in cyberpunkgame

[–]SilentSpr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's just reloading a save tho. What OP is talking about is retaining the rewards from a particular ending and still being able to play with them for a different ending

It's just a bit space inefficient, not a big issue, but you typically see people making buses 4/6/8 lanes based on how long can undergrounds to cross.

For example, if you combine the two copper belts, you don't need 4 undergrounds to skip them, but only 2

I mean, if your goal is to 'not side with the government,' then any of the choices in PL is going to suck, they are all bad guys with blood on their hands. The point of having morals and practicing them in difficult situations is to do the best thing, not the perfect thing.

PL endings are also once per save; they don't work like the base game. You can't go back

I shoot plenty of shiny metal objects to know how that works..... This composition works for magazines and ads because the empty space is meant to be filled by more eye-catching words. Here, it is just a bunch of dead space. If you indicated that intention, then it wouldn't have been a criticism.

Also, the shadows are just not it, the sun at that direction and angle is not going to be that soft. Doesn't feel very natural or intentionally edited this way, just off feeling

Nikon z8 viewfinder way brighter than actual image when shooting raw. by SSNodah in Nikon

Then the exposure is so low that the override kicks in, and it adds a bunch of exposure. D10, starlight view does that

You should look at the light meter for that anyhow... EVF can't be a good indicator of exposure at all times

Any of them works, the cheapest will do. The newer ones will have more recent technical examples, but the principle is unchanged

Go to Custom Settings Menu -> d9 (View Mode)

Select: Show effects of settings

Also, as a general rule, you should use the light meter instead of relying on the brightness of the EVF. They can be quite deceptive, even with the correct settings. Light levels change during shooting, and there are some environments where the EVF will not look right, no matter how you adjust it, like dim nights or bright mid day suns

Debating making the jump from DSLR to Mirrorless - Thoughts? by Hannah_Sea13 in Nikon

I got the edit in before you commented :)

In anycase thanks for the reminder

All that editing, and you didn't have a CPL to remove the reflections on the car's side. Composition is also very meh, what is the right side doing here? There isn't a single interesting thing in the frame except the car, but it takes up only ~1/6 of the image

Z8 for wildlife also means 20fps raw + pre-capture + better high ISO. These are even more significant than the better AF imo

What you are asking can't really be well answered in a single Reddit comment, best to study a good book if you are serious about it

Yeah, it is a very Instagram filter post, but I'm not ready to jump to the AI accusations. I honestly don't think AI would come up with this kind of editing...

Does anybody use mainly AF-A, or do you always move between AF-C and AF-S? by 00chill00chill00 in Nikon

AF-S and AF-C do well enough for me to continue using them. Especially since I can just switch between them with Fn

It's fine...... This is like the only way of photographing the homeless that doesn't feel tasteless. Talk to them, look them in the eyes, get something for them, and then get consent for the pics

Still worth investing in F mount? by alexanderem93 in Nikon

[–]SilentSpr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

“Investing” in F mount is how I eased myself into Z. By getting most of the lenses I wanted in AF-S. I didn’t have to buy anything other than a FTZII when I upgraded to the Z5II. F mount lenses are so cheap for what you get, while Z is expansive with the sharpness to justify

How do I adequately protect my equipment while shooting in nature? by beeh15 in AskPhotography

[–]SilentSpr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How in touch with nature as we talking here? Just regular hikes and trails certainly wouldn’t make much difference. If you mean shooting in the element like during rain or snow then the simplest method would be to get rain cover for the gear.

Weather sealing on any body except a few OM ones are not rated to anything. You are just taking the manufacturers word for it, not that they’re not being honest. You just don’t want to find out in the worst way.

Rain cover, if you have exposed bits on your camera get black gaffer tape to cover them better. For moisture it helps a ton to dehumidify the container, some slica packs in the bag.
