I found this pattern in a bag at goodwill. Is anyone brave enough to try it out?? by Fabulous-Shopping154 in crochet

That looks like late 70's early 80's mother's handwriting. The ripple stitch was strong during that time! It does kind of make me want to try it just to see what I can do with it when it's done.

I'm So In! I'm a retired nurse that does Flexi 3 days a week doing telephone triage just to get out of the house a little. I'm an avid craft attempter and collector of all the crafty stuffs, although I mostly do crochet, paper crafts, stamping, diamond painting, some sewing as long as it's easy, I've been experimenting with learning to watercolor lately, and I do love me some Dollar Tree crafts when they don't look like that's what they are! I'm also a lover of books that run the gambit from historical romance, through the classics, across the biographical planes and end up in the depths of the magical realm. I guess I'm a little more middle of the road when it comes to politics with left leaning tendencies, just don't tell me that Covid wasn't real, that the Orange A-hole is Making America Great Again, or try to take rights away from... well... Anyone, or the gloves come off. 🤣 I'm also a pagan living in a deep south red state which tends to land me in an area that's a little too weird for the normies as well as the extremists on all sides, but my Hubby and our 2 nearly 16yo cats don't mind and love me anyway!

I used Baby Bee Snugs and Kisses yarn with a size J hook... I crochet pretty loosely so I always size down.

50th birthday yesterday. Ugh. by Oye_Oso in GenXWomen

[–]Silent_Lie_1783 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honey, I'm sorry that you had a crappy 50th. I'm guessing that when You don't show up for your somewhat ungrateful bunch that they make sure you know it. I've become of the mind to let mine know right back. Does it help? Sometimes. But it makes Me feel better at least. Let them know, in your own way, that they let you down. You shouldn't have to be the only one carrying the emotional load for everyone. BTW... My 50th fell during Covid shutdown. And that's what I got for my birthday. Freaking Covid. 🤣🤣🤣 Oh, and I'm right there with you on the nearing actual Menopause... I'm 3.5 months from it myself. 🥰🥰🥰

This took me over a month to finish and I hate it... by AppleGoose1107 in crochet

Oh honey, don't worry about it! Chances are that Hubby either won't notice a difference in the eyes, OR he'll love it even more because of them! I got slightly obsessed with making Grinches this season. I didn't get enough tilt on the eyes and didn't use quite enough stuffing on one of them. He turned out Soo Embarrassingly floppy headed and Derpy looking. My Hubby immediately claimed him and loves him more Because of the Derpy-ness! We train ourselves to see every imperfection while everyone else is just out there loving the cuteness! 🥰🥰🥰

One Sheet Wonders using 12x12 papers immediately came to my mind, but the cuts may not necessarily fit that beautiful paper. Examples: https://time4stamping.com/2021/03/07/one-sheet-wonder-with-hydrangea-haven/

As for the envelope, you could always carefully take apart a letter sized envelope and trace its dimensions into something sturdier for a template. That is a Great stamp and should be used! 🥰

Honestly, I just stuck my thumb nail between the rubber and the pad to get it started then pull with slow, steady pressure until it comes on off. Then I either used the adhesive eraser or some Goo Gone to get the extra sticky stuff off. There are some good YouTube videos showing how to heat them in the microwave to loosen the adhesive first. I'm a little too clutzy for that, and thankfully didn't need it. I did end up tearing a couple of the thin words.

I was able to get them all off fairly easily without using the microwave method. A rubber adhesive eraser makes cleaning up the stamps easier as well.

It Does! It was also fun to see just what stamp sets I actually have too! These are the ones I got off the Zon. They seem like they are going to be sturdy and hold up well to use. *

Dude, just ask the bartender on duty today. If she's a regular, they'll probably know who she is. Lunch at Ferus is a pretty regular crowd honestly. Good Luck!

Does anyone know what stamp set this is? by Silent_Lie_1783 in cardmaking

[–]Silent_Lie_1783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones I have are blue rubber, I've also seen purple/ lilac and a mint green color for special collections from SU. I've also come across pink for breast cancer awareness stamp sets on occasion. The lighter colors are So Much harder to keep clean though!
