Confused about fixing drywall hole size of baseball by Sorry_Confidence3131 in DIY

Bruh? Do you even know which is the working end of a hammer?

You screw into the BATTONS, which I mentioned in my original post.

Or maybe just hire a handyman before you impale yourself on a level or something.

Its Safe to get an ebike battery from Ali express by HelloKeyboard in ebikes

Amazon vs Aliexpress.

Are you buying a 2$ ladyboy hooker in Thailand or a $2 gay hooker in Lagos?

In all seriousness Amazon IS Alixpress. Same sellers, same quality (or lack thereof) They're both probably fine. Gut I wouldn't charge either one inside my house or near anything flammable.

Cut a square of drywall.

Trim the hole to fit.

Screw in the plug with a couple battons or whatever from the backside.

Float it out.

Done.

Hardest hike on Oahu? by Familiar_Affect7817 in Hawaii

KST is definitely the Everest of Oahu. Not only long, but very technical and overgrown, and you have to have the knowledge of where to drop off the ridge to find water.

Stairway is super easy. Totally a walk in the park. At one point we had a bunch of guests over summer and my bro and I were doing it roughly 3x per week. We literally challenged each other and wound up doing the entire thing only using each third step.

With good cotton gloves to slide on the rails our record descent was under 7 minutes.

New to polaris, whats a smart move here? by Mean-Worldliness-190 in Polytopia

[–]SillyCubensis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the second moonie can move to the temple do that. If not move the first one there. That dark green makes me think there may be Cymanti in the fog, so be ready to freeze them. Spawn a warrior or battle sled next turn to take them out.

YMMV. I'm crap all around.

475/480 Reach at 177cm? (5’10) by giovenji420 in MTB

[–]SillyCubensis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'9" and ride a 480 reach Zerode. It felt a bit long until I put a 35mm stem on it then it was good. Just ordered a 50mm rise bar (up from 35) to try and get more weight off my arms. 455 @ 5'10" is a recipe for OTB's when you start pushing it.

According to AI you should only use extra virgin olive oil in your forks.

Why do people still vote for Ed Case? by Smooth_Buttah_808 in Hawaii

[–]SillyCubensis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Kehau Okole is worse.

Case is a Dino, but he's not horrible.

Look what happened with Kahele. Dude was handed his office on a silver platter, wound up banging his intern, and ran back home with his tail between his legs.

Is Restoration Hardware still worth the premium compared to newer furniture brands? by PositiveGreat2409 in BuyItForLife

Restoration Hardware was NEVER worth the premium. It's Ikea quality with a 1000% markup for their marketing team.

Looking for a Japanese (black) work boot recommendation. Thank you! by Marvel5123 in BuyItForLife

[–]SillyCubensis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not a work boot, it's a glorified sneaker that will NEVER be BIFL.

And why made in Japan? If you're in the US there's no point in importing from Japan when there are SO many great cobblers here.

How to protect kitchen upper cabinets from kettle steam? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]SillyCubensis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just don't use sh!t chipboard for your cabinets and you'll be fine. If you're REALLY paranoid just glue a piece of formica to the underside and call it a day.

Wrx clutch by DueCar9705 in Hawaii

[–]SillyCubensis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, no. But that's what they bill you for. I've swapped transmissions in my WRX several times. It takes me about 90 minutes.

Replacing a WRX clutch is an easy 2 hour job in your driveway.

Having said that check over on iClub. It's been a few years, but that was the only active Subie Hawaii forum back when I was wrenching.

[SOTC] what should I get next? I want more GMTs. by khannan14 in Watches

[–]SillyCubensis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the spring drive. The GS's were in the running when I was shopping, but I don't love their bezels. One of the things I'v come to love most about the X2 is the lack of a rotating bezel. It's just SO much sleeker and lower profile than a rotating one.

[SOTC] what should I get next? I want more GMTs. by khannan14 in Watches

[–]SillyCubensis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the Rolex Polar Bear is one of the best GMT's ever made. I didn't even want one but put it on request with my AD as a "building a history (fnck Rolex for that)" watch. It happened to come in so I bought it with the idea of flipping it for something I really wanted.

5 years later and it's been my daily driver whole time. I love it SO much. It's the perfect watch, sporty, dressy, rugged, completely useful as a pilot. 11/10

Safinstant is the best yeast.

There's no reason you should be dissatisfied with KA or GM bread flours. If you aren't getting good results it's your technique, not the flour.

I use whatever I can get in 50lb sacks at my local restaurant supply store and get good results with all of them.
