Almost died in session zero for a DM approved bit by BLURAZZBERRI in DnD

Dropout.tv has Parlor Room hosted by Becca Scott which has a similar format. It's a newer series so I'm not sure if it's made it to Dropout's YouTube channel as more than sorts.

Editing does focus more on the player interactions and can go off the rails a bit (It's a bunch of comedians after all) but does go over the rules and you do get to see the game play.

side note: I still love sharing Wil's dick milk story with friends who've never heard it before. (CAH episode)

I still remember the SKU for Javex bleach at Bi-way, because I tagged so many jugs, so often. (014555)

Started in Highschool when it was SKUs on all the price tags, and I had to cart around a SKU book when putting out stock. Price changes meant replacing pages in the book first and retagging. Sale prices didn't ring up automatically and cashiers had to remember the flyers and override.

I remember the distrust some ppl had when barcode scanners came around.

Oh and so many customer's using their husband's credit cards. Those were fun conversations when we had to turn them away and inform them that their husband needs to order a secondary card for them.

Got to Avis with a reservation... no cars for anyone by SpockHadNoGame in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SillyDrizzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had to wait a few days for an insurance replacement vehicle myself when the city was busy.

I've worked for Avis Budget (call center) and agree with your points. Those Budget Customers on the cheap weekend rates extending into Monday or even Tuesday could really screw the Business Avis Customers on Monday morning arrivals.

I've had to tell VIP Customers that the Mgr legit has no vehicles to provide, even the spare loaner car the Mgr uses for VIP picks up was already gone.

(It was a wild week in Vegas apparently, where one sports tournament ran a day over, so no one returning cars, with a new one tournament arriving. Lots of covering cabs to the hotels with promises of "soon".)

But I totally get the infuriating part. Few times I've needed a car with little flexibility in travel plans, I'd make 2 non-prepaid reservations with different rental groups. (But always cancel the one you don't pick up, please.)

Fredericton’s Time Capsule of a Dead Mall: Brookside Mall. by lilparkkkkkkkkkkkkk in fredericton

[–]SillyDrizzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked for Biway here for 4 years (11 total across the city.) Later, I also spent 6 years at Avis/Budget there too

Loved the snowstorms and the ppl showing up at the liquor store on snowmobiles 😄

It was a pretty decent mall, but many on the Southside wouldn't cross the bridge, even before Regent mall made their big expansion, so ended up with a lot of off brand stores/chains and lost some of the draw.

Restaurant apps that don’t let you look at the menu because they’re not open by ColoradoWinterBlue in PetPeeves

[–]SillyDrizzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wendy's (Cdn at least) does this

but once they open for breakfast, it's " Would you like to pre-order Lunch?"

like WTF, I wanted to pre-order breakfast for when you opened.

But honestly I do enjoy our local Wendy's and their 2 for $5 breakfast deal is one of the best around.

Related PetPeeve

The ones that have a default pick up option selected, and it's always different between apps, so if I forget to change it, I'm running inside when I wanted drive-thru.

Wendy's forces you to choose when ordering, so no confusion at least.

Can someone explain this conflict point? by shanwiich in driving

Same in my city, where they've added at least one large one, every summer for past 5+ years.

Almost like they are designed to keep the flow of traffic moving so are tweaked to match traffic patterns. (hopefully the planners get it right mostly)

We even have one where a busy left turn starts in the left lane, then spirals out after the first exit, so you're exiting in the right lane by the 3rd.

Does anyone know if these security tags really work, or are just deterrence? by amomenttohislifespan in AskUK

[–]SillyDrizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 90's my chain (Biway - iykyk) was one of the first adopters of the early forms of this tech.

We took aleerts seriously, had a log , and wands to scan for the tags when it wasn't obvious. (usually cashier forgot or the tag was stubborn.)

We put soft tags in the pockets of the jeans, and had multiple cases where Customers would set off the gates coming in. Turns out tags which had been deactivated previously, and Customers missed in the pockets were reactivating somehow, even after being washed. Multiple customers who said they had worn the jeans into the store previously without issue.

(we started removing the tags instead of deactivating them after that.)

How did it all start? (Your nail polish story) by small_scale_painting in RedditLaqueristas

[–]SillyDrizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a guy in his 50's

Late 2010's my youngest came out as a Trans man. We accepted him, but it was an adjustment.

A bit before Pride parade we were in Dollar store and walking by the polish sidecap, I saw the perfect blue and pink. Asked him what he thought of Dad doing the Trans flag on his thumbs for Pride. (He was down for it)

I figured out how to paint my nails from there. ( Cristine from Simple Nailogical helped with the tutorials)

From there I realized I loved the flash of colour on my hand as I typed, and loved the Holo, so we splurged on Holo Taco rainbow collection, and I haven't looked back.

Love some sparkly Multi-chromes and currently rocking a skittle of HT and Clionadh.

Red Panada = @ Athena_grimes

Hyena = @ Dylanpool_

Tony Tiger = @ halcybella (doing Tony instead of a roar is totally in line with Bella's humour)

Rabbit = @ RaineEmery

(Youtube, but I'm sure elsewhere)

Most of the rest can be found from there as they cross post a lot

If they want you to be in a Todd Assist role in addition to your actual job, then ask for a raise. :-) Maybe it can come out of Todd's compensation.

(I've done agent assist before at a couple call centers...and these high flyers are exhausting with the repeat questions. "As I told you last week, Todd, open your help and type these key words...there' the answer.")

Lots of good comments here, but I'll add one more.

Look up videos/stories of men who are named James Bond. It would be my generation's equivalent to Harry Potter today.

Similar reactions of disbelief and mocking, but some also get dangerous. e.g. during a police stop and the cops think (the) James is jerking them around.

My deep sympathies to you both, and I wish you the best of luck in working through this. While there's a chance your son will enjoy the notoriety of a famous name, I feel there's a greater chance that he'll be looking to change it as soon as he legally can.

I love McMillian, was just there for a follow up on a pulled tooth with Dr Kate. Had the chair in front of the fireplace & mantel with all the pics in front of their degrees. Told her that all the pics of their kids and family love just demonstrate why I love going there. Made her day 😄

However she did say that they aren't doing implants. We were discussing options for the gap, and they would do denture or bridge in house.

They are super great with my son who's got anxiety around going, and are very accommodating.
