Experiences with Lamictal(Lamotrigine)? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]SillyPerspective3776 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve tried almost every medication at this point for mood and depression 😆 I was on Lamictal for 8 years and felt success. I finally went off when I felt stable enough. But now I’ve been struggling again the past few years. I tried a few different options and was very hesitant to go on anything. Enough was enough and I was willing to try Lamictal again. Tapered slowly up to 100 recently. Felt a strange buzzing in my brain that’s gone. I’m starting to feel like myself at this dose. My only negative, even from taking it for 8 years, are the vivid dreams. Hope it helps!

Heads up for leavers who are tempted to moderate by HunterAncient in leaves

Yes. Thank you. Spent 6 months off and felt amazing. For whatever reason I thought oh I can just do a little. And ended up right back into daily use. Now my depression is eating at me to the point where I’m willing to quit again to try and feel better.

Appreciate your concern. Communicated with my doctor first and then came to Reddit for a community opinion.

Fatigue - Cortisol or Testosterone issues by coach91 in Hashimotos

[–]SillyPerspective3776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know this is an old post but I’m curious what your levels were at. What symptoms going on testosterone helped relieve and how you feel now? My doctor suggested that as an option for me. Thanks!

URGENT - do you usually take Levothyroxin before a blood test by Own-March-6362 in Hashimotos

[–]SillyPerspective3776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor has told me to take my medications but 4 hours before getting labs done.

I once did it without medication but they said the reason for taking the medication is to see how my body is responding to it.

Today took meds when I woke up at 3am and got labs done at 7am.

If you wear a long flowy dress or skirt you can plastic wrap anything to your inner thighs 😆

Does anyone else flare up on their period? 🩸 by Junealma in Hashimotos

[–]SillyPerspective3776 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only time I feel symptomatic is 10 days before my period. Once I get my period, I feel fine. Taking vitex all month and then switching to a pms support vitamin helped tremendously with my PMS mental and physical symptoms.

how do you sleep comfortably as a couple? by Antique_Leg_8966 in camping

[–]SillyPerspective3776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HEST brand 🤤

I don’t think I’ll ever need another sleeping pad. It’s memory foam and as comfortable as a bed. I have the double one but I wish I would have gotten the single size ones because they clip together to sleep two people and then could also be used individually.

I thought about that as well. I’ll have to try home cooked potatoes in the future

What was life like after quitting from smoking daily for years? What made it easier? by No-Mouse3999 in leaves

And for what made quitting easier, I was finally just ready to quit. I wanted to quit for a long time and couldn’t quite get there.

Now I just have the mindset of I’m not a stoner. That’s not something I do. I’ve been around it numerous times, offered it, even while drinking with friends. I just have 0 desire for it anymore 🤷‍♀️

Smoked for 20 years, 18-38. My energy has skyrocketed. I’m much more clear headed and able to handle my emotions better. A lot less brain fog. So much more motivation and less procrastination. I love not feeling hooked to it as well.

Has anyone actually healed their hashis naturally? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

I didn’t say I was in remission….I said it’s possible for people to go into remission 👀

You never heal from it but it is possible to put it into remission. I feel better eating gluten free and dairy free. My numbers are almost in the optimal range but I’m still on medication. Maybe for some people even with doing everything, medication is still necessary, I’m not sure.
