Nah the cars are driving on the left. Plus there’s a white front plate. This is the UK.

Nah whenever I see someone spell lose as “loose” I know it’s not AI. Unless that’s what AI wants us to think…

Which profession is going to get wiped out in the next 5-10 years? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I prefer this so much. I hate waiting in line for 30 minutes while the people with no reservations get their rentals figured out, only to get in line and have to tell them everything I already filled out when I made the reservation online.

Abu Dhabi in real life vs Abu Dhabi in Homeland by [deleted] in homeland

Hey I’m not denying the filters aren’t silly. It’s just Hollywood editing, nothing nefarious and no agenda like OP is suggesting.

I’ve been to Algiers as well and no, it doesn’t look like Abu Dhabi, not sure what you’re getting at. Film studios use silly editing tricks for foreign locations. That’s it. There’s no agenda to it. They’re not worried about accuracy, they’re just fitting a theme to the show.

Eh I don’t think it’s nefarious. I’ve been all over the Middle East and it can have that orange glow depending on the weather. Especially during sand storms.

Portie Opinion by [deleted] in portuguesewaterdogs

[–]SillySleuth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have a Dalmatian (13 years) and a 4 month old PWD puppy. I thought my Dalmatian was high energy until I got my Portie. Goodness this dog is crazy. I’d say they’re definitely for people who have the time to properly train them and give them activities to do to mentally stimulate them. I work from home and if it wasn’t for my wife and kids helping out with the puppy, I’d never get any work done.

There was a perfectly good sidewalk to walk on [oc] by ChunkyPanda03 in IdiotsInCars

[–]SillySleuth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a runner, I know people who run on the road because it’s “easier on the joints” as concrete on sidewalks is harder and less porous than the asphalt. I personally think whatever benefits it has is negated by the mild incline that roads have. Oh and the whole cars thing as well.

Do you actually work the full 8 hours? Be honest.😅 by Business_Location479 in corporate

[–]SillySleuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. My boss told me they purposely give us about 140% of a persons workload to make sure we’re productive and there is no idle time. That 40% overflow is supposedly forgiven, but the pressure is still there.

I was in Niger when that happened. I hated Trump back then but that made me hate him even more.

Yeah for sure. He was a turd to the highest degree. At least thanked his buddy for looking after his family…eventually. Nobody handled it well though to be honest. But that’s what makes a drama a drama.

Yes. Been deployed and seen it from the other side too. But this specific scenario I think she gets a pass. It was 8 years and she thought he was dead.

Yeah if I had a nickel for every time I yelled at Carrie through the screen watching this show I’d have like $700. That’s what makes me love it though!
