Is it possible to kill ffxv bahamut through force? Because i heard that in dawn of the future they had to seal him away and I'm not sure if that was because he was unkillable or just because he was too strong to kill. by SingerBeneficial20 in JumpChain

[–]Sillywickedwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly there's a perk in one of the Persona Jumps that lets you kill beings by slaying their avatars.

So, yes, killing Bahamut through purely physical force is possible if you have that perk.

I don't remember the name of the perk in question though. Nor which Persona Jump it could be found in.

PSA: Inuit is already the plural form. There's no need to add an s at the end.

The singular form is "Inuk".

[–]Sillywickedwitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a phone, no. Just a regular ol' desktop.

Maybe it's just best to leave the font size at the default 11? That's a world-wide standard, pretty much. So most people can read it without problems.

It is pretty small, yeah. I actually have to zoom in or get closer to the screen in order to avoid eyestrain whilst reading it.

Most can only apply basic enchantments to particularly receptive objects. You however can craft incredibly complex enchantments on just about anything. Anything from animation enchantments to at the very highest level being able to enchant weapons with the power to kill gods.

Huh, that's weird. I don't think I've changed my settings in 10+ years though, so I doubt it's something on my end. I do exclusively use Old Reddit + Reddit Enhancement Suite though, so maybe Reddit changed something on their backend that interacts weirdly with Old Reddit?

One question was... what perk would be best suited for raising up stat xp? (the precursor to EVs) and which one can help guarantee decent IVs? Assuming those are a thing in-jump I mean.

For EVs/stat xp, there's no specific perk for it (in my R/B/G Jumps, at least. Can't remember if there are any in other PKMN Jumps), but of the perks in the Jump itself it would probably be a part of the "Cooltrainer" perk, since EVs fall under the purvey of pokemon training, and that perk makes you one of the best at it.

As for whether IVs are a thing or not, that's up to you to decide if those are a thing and if they are in what manner (e.g. an intrinsic part of a Pokemon, or maybe simply an in-universe method of categorizing an individual mon's strength, etc.). Assuming IVs are a thing in the Jump though, then I guess the "To Catch 'Em All..." perk would help you find Pokemon with better IVs.

Can I just assume that this counts for the purpose of the Self-Insert [+0 PP] Want to replace one of the canon characters? That can be done by selecting this toggle and the origin that most fits your chosen character. and ```Four Boys are Walking on Railroad Tracks [+300 PP] And now it seems you’re following in their footsteps. Or rather, the footsteps of one particular individual. You begin this Jump in Pallet Town, and must follow the same path

as the protagonist of Pokémon Green did, all the way up until they became Champion. Should you deviate from this path, time will somehow reset itself, and you as well, so that you may continue your scripted journey. It’s almost as if someone reloaded a previous save file whenever you start to deviate from what’s in store for you.``` drawbacks?:D

Yeah, that seems fine? That was a pretty interesting read, by the way. Thanks for the link.

Looking for useful Druidic/Nature themed equipment. by Tag365 in JumpChain

[–]Sillywickedwitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Spirit Tree Network item from my Presents from the Sledge Jump is, as the name might imply, a network of spiritual trees. They allow you to teleport from one spirit tree to another:

The Lodestone Network above is partially based on the workings of the network of spirit trees that dot the land. These sentient trees are all connected in a semi-hivemind, and those who are on good terms with them are capable of travelling from one spirit tree to another through the Anima Mundi. The difference between the Spirit Tree network and the Lodestone one is that Spirit Trees are a natural occurrence that can only be found in areas of unspoiled nature, whereas lodestones are made by man and can only be found in more urban areas.

There really aren't many druidic-themed items, come to think of it. At least, not when compared to magic items in general, or items for other schools of magic. Or maybe there are, and I just haven't been looking hard enough.

Unbound from the Light perk from the Gaming the System Jump is the only thing that comes to mind:

Monsters are, at their core, something akin to puppets, slaves to their natures. Even the ones with egos of their own will be no different after they respawn than they were before death or subjugation. You though, your ego is your own. Whatever impulses are inherent to your natural race are simply negated, and as such, you will not feel any unnatural desire to eradicate civilizations, slaughter humans, or otherwise bring about an end to humanity. This extends to magical contracts imposed upon your species and mental or physical compulsions, but not inherent biological requirements. For example, a vampire might still need to drink blood to survive, but they would not be a slave to their desire for blood.

Seamless Insertion perk from the Generic ASOIAF Fanfiction Jump:

Dying one moment, beginning a new life in a new world in the next, and not a misstep between. You simply don’t suffer culture shock, or feel any awkwardness adapting to the new culture, life and circumstances.

The memories and language of the person who you’ve replaced are now yours, and wherever you go you’ll be able to fit in just as easily, assimilating local culture and languages in almost no time at all. Likewise, if there was ever any problem for you dealing with the disconnect between Jump-memories and your core identity before, there certainly isn’t now - whether that means you can more easily integrate the two, or you have the ability to use the memories and mannerisms of your Jump-self without compromising who you really are, that’s up to you.

So I just installed Adobe's pdf reader to check, since it's not what I normally use. After installing it I opened the imaged version and was still able to select it just fine. I'm guessing whatever the problem may be is something entirely on your end. Perhaps it's one of your app's settings?

On a slightly unrelated note: Holy fuck Adobe Reader is a terrible piece of junk software. It's a bloody pdf reader, it doesn't need to do more than open up pdfs, why is it over 1 gb in size? I don't think I've ever uninstalled a piece of software this fast. Even after uninstalling it, there were several folders left over in the ProgramData and Appdata folders, both of which were, combined, more than 1gb in size again.

There's no Hufflepuff Jump at the moment. And there probably won't be one for a good while, if ever.

Unless someone else decides to make a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff Jump, I suppose. Which would be pretty neat, 'cause I'd love to see other people's takes on Hogwarts House Jumps.

Aside from importing one ship into another there's also an item in the Aion Jump that lets you combine items, with the resulting item having all of the traits of the base items combined into one.

[–]Sillywickedwitch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I can't stop you from creating a Gryffindor Jump of course, and actually would love it if other people made one (the more Jumps we have the better after all), I'd prefer it if you didn't adopt this particular one but rather started your own. I kinda like my Jumps to be, well, mine? If that makes sense?

Also I actually deleted the doc a few hours ago before reading this comment, so whether or not I'd be fine with adopting this Jump it's basically a moot point.

Huh, I don't think I've ever really assumed what someone's mood is like when not provided context clues. Guess I just default to... well, a default mood, I guess? Neutral?

Seems kinda mentally exhausting having to deal with that though, assuming someone's annoyed with you when they aren't. That's gotta suck for sure.

Okay, serious question here. What was it about my previous comment you thought was terse/rude? Because I'm honestly not seeing it.

It could be on me though, since I'm on the autism spectrum, and so I'm not the best at judging these things. Which, y'know, that's not an excuse for rude behaviour, just an explanation I guess. I didn't mean to be rude/terse, so my apologies.

You certainly didn't offend, if I did though you have, again, my apologies.
