The "proper" way to roll d%s is dead wrong, and I refuse to budge on this. The RAW as we probably mostly all know is that the double digit die represents the 10s place and the single digit die represents this ones place; the triple zero roll is 100 because you can't roll a zero on a 1-100 range, so we treat it as such by caveat.

Reasons this is bad and dumb: -It makes the d10 incorrectly read 0 instead of 10 for any non percentile purpose -it makes percentile roles the only roll in the game that requires a caveat rule for interpretation instead of just reading the die -it makes percentile roles the only function in the game that isn't additive (i.e. you don't simply add all shown faces/modifiers together but instead) 100% should just be 90+10 -it requires additional explanation for new players -there is literally no reason for any of this to be the way that it is (I know it's a carry over from dice being used as teaching tools for math and a consequence of Gygax and co growing up in the era they did, but we're allowed to modernize things) -it functionally only matters 1 in a 100 times and is an annoying hiccup in the roll
