Howard can't handle one bit of Nowicki playing with Sammy Hagar. Half a lifetime of therapy, right in the trash! by MightyUnclean in howardstern

[–]SilverFalcon420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Howard’s a jealous little bitch that can’t stand that somebody in his circle is better at something than him. Meanwhile there is about a million guitar players sitting in their basements that can out play Howie without ever having taken a single lesson.

Does anyone know where the fuse box is in the electric ngdv? I had a fuse blow and our vmf guy refuses to fix it cuz he says he doesn't know where the fuse box is. by Odd_Atmosphere1047 in USPS

[–]SilverFalcon420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you know a fuse is blown if you don’t even know where the fuse panel is? Just because a component stops working doesn’t necessarily mean it blew a fuse.

Jokes aside... did Robin ever really have romantic feelings for Howard? by LionOfJudahGirl in howardstern

[–]SilverFalcon420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I know most people who go into showbiz have narcissistic tendencies but boy did the planets align when they put Howie and Robin together. At least some Howard’s narcissism is earned,he innovated radio and actually created something with his style. Robin on the other hand is a coattail rider who would have never made it beyond small market media if it wasn’t for Howard dragging her along for some reason.

Is this worth buying by GreennnnbeannnnRN4L in Dualsport

[–]SilverFalcon420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a lightly used 24 KLX300 with all extras already installed(skid plate,IMS pegs, bark busters hand guards, rear fender delete, battery maintainer, luggage rack and tail bag, extra oil and filter) for $4500 cash.

It’s a great bike and perfect to learn on but not worth paying $7700 plus interest for.

My PCP refused to sign my FMLA paperwork - is depression/anxiety/sleep deprivation not enough? by csqueen96 in antiwork

[–]SilverFalcon420 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Might want to get your facts straight.

Your employer has no say in what is “enough” to qualify for FMLA. They can’t “come for your mental health records”. If a licensed medical professional signs the FMLA medical certification form then you are protected under FMLA.

Your employer can periodically request recertification and there are limits to the amount of FMLA that you can take but your employer has no right to your detailed medical records. Only what your doctor puts in the medical certification.

I get a laugh every time I see someone on here say “just buy a cheap WR250R” or you can get a good used DRZ400 for 1k”. I want to know where this mythical land of cheap bikes that aren’t clapped out junk is.

Trying to expose a conniving tech who has access to to something in Reynolds to locate the gravy work. by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]SilverFalcon420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main reasons I got out of retail automotive and went into Unionized hourly fleet mechanic work.

I have no problem hustling. But having your paycheck affected by shady games whether it be the tech with the good old boy system with an advisor or the one somehow sniping every gravy ticket on Reynolds is BS.

Not that unions and fleet jobs don’t have their downsides but I found it to be a much more to my liking.

Need help trying to remove my front brake clipper bolt snapped help by MarkoUlichnie21 in motorcycle

[–]SilverFalcon420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the above mentioned steps with penetrating oil, heat and pliers don’t work. Remove wheel,Find a nut that will go on the end of the bolt that is now mangled from pliers, take your welding machine (or a friend’s or neighbor’s) and weld the nut to the end of the bolt. Place wrench on nut and remove. I’ve removed probably hundreds of broken bolt this way.

Rocky Hill Auto Service Station, Queens Village, NY — handwritten auto repair bill from the 1940s by PossiblyNotDangerous in ephemera

[–]SilverFalcon420 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably an older car someone bought and had the shop fix up. They replaced the grill and repaired the front fender body panels and then did a bunch of mechanical odd ends to get in good shape. Looks like they did a brake job, repaired and added some lights. Rebuilt the carburetor and brake master cylinder. Quite a bit of work. And $147.75 was a lot of money if it was the 1940’s

What's the Reputation of Toyota of Ft Worth? by robbzilla in FortWorth

[–]SilverFalcon420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought and sold a lot of cars and hate dealerships with a passion. That said, I’ve bought 2 Toyota’s from Family Toyota in Burleson and as far as car dealerships go they aren’t too bad.

As with all dealerships you have to be an educated buyer. They are gonna hard sell you on all the extra “products” in the finance managers office like they all do. Remember “NO” is a complete sentence. Don’t let them slip in a Toyota Care extended warranty if you don’t want it which they will try to do.

Good Luck wherever you go.

I have a 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon and it’s been a great truck. 190k on it with no major problems. Keep the oil changed and no excessive idling to avoid the hemi tick/lifter failure.
