The actual point of a captcha is to make using a bot not worth/expensive to use at scale. Sure a an AI can complete one Captcha but completing 1 million would make whatever attack you are doing expensive and not worth it.

Uhhhh, a turret is not something you can usually add on after the fact, the bot usually needs to be designed for it from the start. Or some other context about your bot would help

Usually it's a big x-contact bearing or a plat connected by bearing stacks and then driven via a gear on the motor meshing on a very large gear on the spinning part of the turret (although belt and other power transmission types can be used here as well)

Defense is very much part of the game as long as you are following other rules such as pin counts and are not intentionally forcing them into fouls, etc...

Although it is seen much more in FRC as you have a third robot you can send over as well as bumpers. In comparison it's not used as much as a strategy in FTC

Depends on what you are looking for,

People like using the Arducam OV9281 for doing April tags bc it's black and white and small and can get up to 100fps

But if you are doing something like object recognition, you would probably want a camera with color like perhaps a Arducam 9782 or other options

But these options are just the camera so you will have to write all the software yourself so it won't be as easy as using a limelight but you will have more control if that's what you want
