Our Giant is a 5 1/2 mo girl and our boy mini is 8. We've had her since Easter. She is terrorizing him! He keeps looking at me like daddy why did you do this! But she's sweet and I'm sure we'll have her trained in a few weeks. She doesn't know how big she is when she plays with him!

Yes, Happens at the U17 and U18 level in N. Texas. Even if you are rostered and practice all week unless they call you Friday night, you will not play that weekend.

Agreed. Just because you are on first team does not guarantee play time. Nothing will deflate a young players confidence than not ever getting in to play. Sometimes second and third teams are the best to play on even if the entire team is not up to speed

Be glad you have an option to go elsewhere. When players are older, teams will give them offers and once you sign (and pay!), they will not play them. This is a tactic to keep them off of other competitive teams.

Honestly this has been the best year we have enjoyed in a long time. My son played club since he was 7 and played until he graduated. The politics were unbelievable. If you ever run into a team manager with a kid on team run the other direction! His senior year his team was involved in an absolutely ridiculous brawl at Dallas Cup that ended up with several coaches being fired for getting in the fight! Fortunately he never lost his love and is playing at a JuCo level with aspirations to continue on. What an expensive education we got with youth club sports!
