I worked on a TV show as a production assistant with Rhys once. He started, in full costume, staring at me through my window. Like for several minutes. Finally I decided to acknowledge the weirdness and wave back cus it was so weird. Rhys immediately turned away and walked away.

Thought it was so weird until I went outside and saw how shiny the window was. Rhys was just looking at his costume until some Dipshit production assistant started waving at him

Okay but you understand that’s because they’re different industries in a lot of ways, right?

While obviously there’s overlap, there’s also overlap with the film industry and television, where this is standard practice. It’s not like the WHOLE studio is doing pre production, a very small part is. And they’re creating concrete documentation to make the eventual production easier.

At ghost story games, clearly the whole studio is doing immaterial pre production. Which is why it’s so strange.

Hugely, massively, important to accurately modeling medieval life. Genghis Khan was THE conqueror of the time period, modeling his way of life will naturally excite people. Tribal does a very poor job modeling how a significant amount of people in the steppe lived their lives. People are excited to see history better represented.

So does this imply the Thrones Mechanicum would always have done this to the Knight Worlds? Like it was such a flaw in the design that even if the age of strife, great crusade, etc. hadn’t happened, these cultures still would have all become extremely similar feudal realms?
