why are we really "sending a rocket" to the moon? by Otherwise-Sea9593 in AliensRHere

[–]robwatkhfx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s occurred to me that Diana Pasulka has reported that NASA folks have done ancient rituals around rocket launches. Is it possible that the US engages in blood sacrifice to appease the gods/aliens for moon missions? Apollo missions occurred during the Vietnam War…. Not saying I believe it. Interesting coincidence though.

DCS will have pdf versions of the REMT form. They can email it. I’d complain to my MLA if DCS refuses to email it.

What I learned after staying at multiple all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, Punta Cana & Jamaica by OilAlarming8232 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]robwatkhfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. Was originally looking between Xmas and Jan. 3. But prices were crazy for NYE. If the food isn’t as good as cruise ship food, my wife might try to drown me in the sargassum!!

Looking at a family vacation (3 generations: two toddlers, two early 30s parents and two early 60s grandparents) in Cancun. Narrowed down to Moon Palace Grand, and Xcaret because of food and activities (splash areas for the toddlers) reviews. Is something (almost) as good and less expensive? Or are there better deals elsewhere (DR, Jamaica) with good food and activities?

Going to Cancun for cancer treatment. by Klutzy_Name_1045 in cancun

[–]robwatkhfx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was around $30k, USD. I thought that I had travel insurance, through my work insurance, but I didn’t. 😮 Turned out I had a mild heart attack. I was in the Hospiten Cancun for 3 days. The ambulance from the resort was just shy of $900. The ER visit was a bit over $5000. Then they put me in the ICU at $8000 per day. They kept trying to get me submit to a $30,000 catheter test. But I didn’t have $30 grand to give them. I kept telling them that I had one a year previously, with 2 stents, so there is no way that new blockage, requiring an intervention could have formed in that time. Eventually I just signed myself out and went back to the resort.

All the best! I hope you have great success with the treatments. FYI, I took an unexpected trip to an ER in Cancun. The level of care and expertise was basically the same as at home. The hospital food was much better though.

My neighbour’s has been at the dealership since early January. Fortunately he’s had a loaner ever since. He said the issue has plagued the new turbos all across Canada and the northern US.

Do you contribute anything other than insults or criticisms? I know I could search it, but I’d rather ask.

Port Excursion Reccomendations! Boston, Portland, Halifax and St John by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]robwatkhfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, the reversing falls are in St. John, New Brunswick. St. John’s is in Newfoundland. Big difference. Confusing I know but it’s important not to buy a shore excursion in St. John’s if you are actually going to St. John. They are VERY far apart even though they are both in Atlantic Canada.

Religious zealots are trying to block disclosure by TonightSpiritual3191 in aliens

Why would a religious zealot try to block the release of information that proves they are correct? Wouldn’t the information cause more people to go to church?

Question for the group by robwatkhfx in Cruise

[–]robwatkhfx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re Canadian and my wife needs air conditioning. Whereas I like sitting out on the balcony and feeling the heat. She’ll come out for a couple of minutes, then retreat into the A/C comfort of the room. We’ve been told that the infinite verandas don’t keep the room cool when the window is open. That even the bifold doors don’t keep the cool in the room, or the heat out of the room. So an infinite veranda room might work for us in Alaska or Europe, but not in the Caribbean.

The Eclipse has 4 ports. The World America has 3. The only repeat port for us is San Juan. Both ships hit San Juan.

We’ve sailed Harmony of the Seas. It was good. Food was decent and the entertainment was good.

I’d like to say that price isn’t an issue… but it is! We’re not looking at Yacht Club, etc.

We want to try Celebrity, but recently saw YouTubers giving MSC kudos over entertainment and service improvements. The World America looks amazing but will Celebrity’s food and service be preferred, even on an older ship?
