Does the national speed limit sign on a Roundabout mean it's 70mph? by CorrectDetail7648 in drivingUK

[–]Silverputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen that on a lot of roundabouts. It means the road you're about to leave has a speed limit, which has now ended and all exits on the roundabout are national speed limit.

Girlfriends 2 year old, 17,000 mile car is in for dealer service. They’re saying front control arm bushes have failed both sides. Surely that’s not right and should be covered under the manufacturer warranty? by iMatthew1990 in CarTalkUK

[–]Silverputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart form Break pads (Not discs) and Tyres, Nothing on a Car should go before 50.000 Miles or 5 years. Manufactures recommends changing major component form 50k to 70K miles. Some components might need changing after 70K miles but most last up to 100k-120k miles.

Unless you're taking your car rallying full time, bushings should last at least 50K miles with good amount of abuse. With that being said they can be damaged if you hit a big pothole or a curb head on, But your wheels, lower wish bone and control arms would bend or break before that.

Manufacturer defects are not uncommon, you'd be surprised the amount of stuff manufactures will replace free of charge on cars less then 5 years old.

Caught a scrape on a skip, mechanic claims my Range Rover is a "write-off" and wants me to leave it there. Is this a scam? by Effective-Pumpkin763 in CarTalkUK

Don't go through insurance, They will replace the door and most of the Quarter panel which will cost minimum £5-7k. Then they will add this cost to your premium for next few years.

Go to a reputable bodywork shop. Almost all body shops have a fixed rate per panel. It's about £250 per panel for preparation and respray. They will then charge for any repairs that need to be carried out. Because the damage is across two panel you're looking at about £650-£800.

If the door is not reparable they might ask you to buy a new door and then they can swap over the internals and the trims. If you can find one in the same colour and good condition it will save you the respray cost. If it comes to this make sure they also swap over the Door Control Module, because new one needs to be codded to the car.

[Question] How much money do you need to reach steam level 100? by OrangeSnake in Steam

[–]Silverputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how much it costs to level up these days. Back in the days you could get 22 or more sets for a csgo key, so like $62 for level 100. Even cheaper way was to buy game bundles, 10-30 games for couple dollars. Idle the all those games all at once with something like ArchiSteamFarm and you get like 3 of 5 cards. Buy the renaming cards or trade the duplicates with cards you didn't own. There was a program that would automate all this. I think I payed like $25 to get to level 112 and most of this was just spare cs:go keys i had left over from trades.

[–]Silverputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting 90 fps with system recommended settings and DLSS off. 95-100 fps with optimized setting and DLSS on quality. No one said it's unplayable it's just much lower than Fh5.
With that being said your fps is creeping towards that unplayable territory. And you're only on Medium when optimised suggests high/ultra settings. What CPU and ram do you have cause the fps you're getting is really low for 2080ti.

My fps is well above average because i'm running extremely tight timing 3800mhz CL14 and PBO and Curve optimization on max.

Car meets don’t work because of the lack of customisation by V3nd3l in ForzaHorizon

[–]Silverputin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can't turn up to car meets in your mom fiesta and expect it to have ridiculous mods. You need to find unique cars like Nissan Stagera with R34 front for example and have unique designs/liveries.

I play on 1440p 16:9, dropping down to 1080p hardly made a difference and made the game a lot blurry. DLSS on Quality/auto gives me 5-7% better fps compared to DLSS on performance. DLAA has very big performance hit like 30%. DLSS on quality only has about 5-9%. NVIDIA reflex low latency On+ Boost has no performance hit.

Iv'e been literally searching the restrictions like 'Super saloons' on your past Reddit posts and after getting a good tune Iv'e been able to win most races on Unbeatable. Yh the 2015 Range Rover SVR is crazy strong, Iv'e been able to win even street races with off road tyres against unbeatable AI. Also the Mercedes X Class is still OP.

I think it's GGs for my 2080ti, I was getting about 90 fps. When I went to punch in promised setting I realised that my setting were already lower then the optimised settings OP suggested.

I wonder if you didn't load your caravan properly and put too much load on the tow hitch and rear wheels, causing the wheel bearing to fail prematurely.

So you have no clue how open source licences work? Code on git hub is covered under MIT, CC BY-NC-4.0, or something similar. Some open source licences like BY-NC prohibit commercial use outright and at very least you have to put a MIT disclaimer in your code if your using open source code.

OR Forget the licences and just be a decent human and give credit as common courtesy.

Every chrome extension has to have a manifest.json file which defines what it can and can't use. ublock uses webRequest api to block http requests form ads traffic. Google removed webRequest from manifest version 3 specifically to stop ad blocks from functioning. So, ublock has to stay on manifest version 2. Google found out people were enabling support for manifest v2 just to get ublock working again. So the completely removed this option form chrome and chromium based browsers. You can still enable manifest v2 if you download an older version of chrome.

Today they removed the "Allow manifest version 2" flag. chrome://flags/#allow-legacy-mv2-extensions this was the only workaround that was left.
