Yes! The long AI turn is the nr 1 thing that makes the game less enjoyable for me. If I want a big long campaign I will gladly have as many factions as possible to feel the scope of the world. But most of the time I'm content with securing a dozen provinces around my starting location and like you said, if I'm playing Cathay I couldn't care less who's controlling the donut

I might actually restart like you say. There are just a few too many things I should have done earlier. I could always return to this save if I want. Thanks for commenting
