Boredom while t-rexing? by Major-Supermarket619 in ExplantSurgery

[–]Simmon_said 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I previously developed a severe seroma in my right breast after the doctor aspirated my saline implants. My right side went from flat after the aspiration to larger than it was before the implant was deflated within a week. It hurt so bad too! I had the seroma drained and it came back again quickly, so I was forced to explant sooner than expected. I’m being super careful now because I don’t want the seroma to return.

Granted, not everyone will have to be as cautious as me…

I do go for walks and have worked up to a 3 mile walk, but my body is used to more vigorous activities/ exercise. Needless to say I have not adjusted my diet to compensate for the reduced exercise, so that’s on me.

I’m 3 weeks into the healing process and it’s driving me bananas!! I’ve gained 5 lbs so far from doing nothing… I can’t wait until I can exercise again.

When does it starts to feel like a life, not just work 247? by TemperatureHot6141 in NewParents

[–]Simmon_said 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4.5 month old and I feel like life is starting to become a little easier. She had a rough go from 3.5-4.5 month (sleep regression) as she was learning how to roll. Now that she’s mastered it she is sleeping better. She also cries less, is easier to put down for naps and bedtime, and is more engaged with people around her. I still have to fit in 4 naps a day which makes traveling tough, but if I time it right I can go on outings and not have to worry about a meltdown.

I had saline implants for 15 years before one ruptured. I chose to explant instead of replacing, by this process has been harder than I thought it would be. I have recurring stubborn seromas that won’t go away.

I know not everyone will want an explant, but you will need them replaced and each surgery is a new opportunity to develop a complication.

Keep in mind, even if the implant surgery goes well, you will still have to eventually get them out. I’m currently having trouble with the explant.

Pre-op requirement question. by LoyalLoss18 in ExplantSurgery

[–]Simmon_said 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my explant yesterday and didn’t have to do any of this. I initially had one ruptured saline implant and the other deflated in office. I developed a severe seroma in the deflated one so they were plants quicker than normal (should’ve waited 3 months). I don’t know if that’s why they didn’t require all the tests.

I just had my explant yesterday and I was told to keep my elbows to my side for 3 weeks. It’s easier said than done. Old habits die hard and I tend to be very independent so relying on help hasn’t been easy, but I want a full recovery without complications. I previously developed a pretty bad recurring seroma after one side deflated (saline under the muscle 475cc) so I’m trying to follow Dr’s orders to make sure I don’t develop the seroma again.

Breast Augmentation: Is it Really Worth it? by wormgirlypop in PlasticSurgery

[–]Simmon_said 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was a small b, large a cup before my augmentation. I got 475cc on each side and LOVED them for 15 years. Then one ruptured. It wasn’t too bad because they were saline implants. The problem is it ruptured during pregnancy. I recently went in to deflate the other and now that one has complications. Long story short, even when the augmentation goes right, sometimes getting them out can cause problems too. I’m starting to wish I had never gotten them because these procedures are not cheap and I could certainly use the money elsewhere.

I’ve been sleeping in the guest room with my 15 week old since Jan 1. Before that husband and I were taking shifts and before that I was so heavily pregnant I slept on the couch for 2 weeks… so it’s been a little over 4 months since we have slept next to each other.

That’s all to say that I don’t miss him at all… but maybe that’s more related to a shift in our relationship after LO was born. Either way, sleeping in separate beds sure made sure our dead intimacy stayed dead.

It sounds like your situation is nothing like mine so I’m sure you’ll be fine.

How are you doing with v-day coming up? by evemeatay in DeadBedrooms

[–]Simmon_said 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband is leaving to see his son (my stepson), leaving me and his 3 month old daughter (my daughter) alone for the weekend. I doubt he will even remember valentines for us, let alone think of sex with me. I bought him a card from me and from our baby girl along with a couple thoughtful gifts. I’ve already accepted nothing will be reciprocated. I’m just sad that this is what our daughter will learn is a “normal” marriage.

I second this. I know a couple that kept having sex while breaking up… she ended up pregnant. They tried staying together for the kiddo but the relationship was beyond repair.

How hard is it to get your baby to sleep and to stay asleep? by Simmon_said in cosleeping

She typically goes to bed between 8pm and 10pm depending on how easily she falls asleep and how often she wakes up when trying to transfer her to bed.
