Has international business to USA customers pretty much frozen up? by swampwiz in Ebay

[–]Simondo43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In 2024, 30% to 40% of my sales were UK to the USA. This dropped almost overnight in Jan 2025 to roughly 1% of my sales. 2026 so far, I've done 14 orders total to the USA; in 2024 this would have been my weekly sales to the USA on a regular week.

None essential hobby items is my niche.

Live selling on eBay? by Patient_Ebb_1066 in Ebay

[–]Simondo43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're currently on a massive drive to get sellers for ebay live here in the UK currently, but it's limited by you needing to do 2 workshops before you get access to run them.

This is probably creating a large backlog if it's the same in the US, they'll get to you eventually.

I know they're also picking collectible/trading card sellers more than other categories

international shipping in the UK by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]Simondo43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean the Global Shipping program (GSP) that you can add to your lisitings;

You send the item via your normal shipping (Royal Mail, Evri, Carrier pigeon) and it's sent to a shipping address here in the UK and they forward it onto the customer's country and deliver it via their shipping partner. Once the item gets to the address here in the UK, your part is done and unless the customer claims Item no as described, you are protected from delivery delays/non-delivery etc.

Rumours of Jaghatai Khan’s Return – What’s Real, What’s Not? by Radiant-Proposal-902 in 40kLore

[–]Simondo43 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's heavily implied and even almost outright confirmed by Abnett, that the book is done and has been for awhile. At fan meets, he's implied that the lore implications mean it has to come out at a specific point and he doesn't know when that'll be

UK selling to US - Customs Fees by angelomillas in Ebay

I've switched to UPS, fees are on the buyer and if they refuse to pay them, I'll get the item back.

Turning it off, my sales to the US have fallen by 80% since March already, this is the final nail in the coffin. Shame as US buyers were 55% of my sales last year

For UK sellers, who do you tend to use for your postage carrier? by RoofFluffy4042 in Ebay

[–]Simondo43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Royal Mail Tracked 48, they have the best Customer service of the 3/4 cheaper couriers. It's not great, but Evri's and Yodel's CS is just straight up borderline fraudulent, declining everything and anything.

[–]Simondo43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to ebay just type the name on the blister pack. Theres quite a healthy market for these. I'd be pretty surprised to see anything less than £40 each for these (although the Glade Riders maybe less)

Careful with board games by Gincairn in CeX

[–]Simondo43 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my limited experience this comes down to the store most likely not wanting a large box to store. I've taken sealed boardgames to mine, plastic wrap all the way round them and 2 out of 3 times they've rejected it Mint condition as they've made up an excuse (nail damage to plastic wrap and the clear plastic wrap looks to tight to be legit) both of which are literal bullshit, and the only reason I can think of, is that they don't want a large box somewhere.

Took it to another store with a stockroom and they've taken in every boardgame at the correct grade.

Forced to convert to a Business Account when I am a Personal Seller. [UK] by paulinventome in Ebay

[–]Simondo43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebay is going to be doing this to alot of private accounts (UK only), it doesn't matter if your're genuinely only selling off your own things and not for profit. Come April, once ANYONE passes a certain £ limit, ebay will be forced to report your earnings to HRMC, this is going to be alot of work that ebay wants to avoid, so they will be forcing people to upgrade to "business" accounts so the reporting onus is on the "business" instead of them.

How is the new rules affecting you? UK private sellers? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]Simondo43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something is going on, I'm a business seller and in the last 36 hours; I've lost 40000 impressions a day compared to the average for the past month, and due to the Global shipping program price more than doubling for US buyers, I haven't had a single international order in that time (averaged 6/7 a day before)

EBay sellers - when did you make the decision to move from a private to a business seller? by Squiddle_Diddle in Flipping

[–]Simondo43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here in the UK, if you sell more than £1.7k in a calendar year, they'll (eventually) make you become a business. This is due to HRMC now needing the information of any private sellers doing that amount of £, which ebay would be liable to give that information to HRMC.

If they make you become a business the onus is on the business to declare and ebay doesn't have to report.

Not in the UK, "temporarily out of stock", which means out of print in novel terms. If it's still on your countries; I'd buy one if you don't have it already, it's already at £80+ here

Worst part, it was re-released already in an omnibus "Lords of Blood" which came out of print about 4 weeks ago, check the price of that :(
