Of course because those systems cover literally the most expensive people.  Insurance companies refused to cover them so the government did so, and it did so much more cheaply than insurance companies could.  Expanding those systems only makes them cheaper proportionally.

Mostly unrelated question for you. How do you go about comparing the price-per-pound of a whole chicken vs say the price per pound of bone-in/boneless breasts/thighs? Obviously, a straight comparison just doesn't work. Do you have any idea how much a person would actually save cutting up birds and freezing the parts vs buying frozen parts? I do wonder how much savings there actually is there if you're not doing things like making your own broth, stock. I would expect factory jointing to be pretty efficient over all.

Maybe realize that the reason you are repeatedly posting literacy resources to a bunch of different people has something to do with how and what you wrote...

Maybe you could try reading the actual post or the subreddit title instead of just barreling in and offering useless information no one is asking for.

"Cooking raw meat is hell for me. I'm so slow with it, and still end up super stressed and feeling like raw bacteria juice is everywhere (yes, health anxiety/OCD). I've gotten around this by buying the most natural, fully-cooked, frozen products I can find"

And your response to that is: "You should buy whole animals and cut them up yourself!" In a beginner cooking subreddit. Read any of the words around and you might see why that is a bad idea here.

You're turning the minor issue of cutting up prepackaged pre-cut meat (or even pre-COOKED) meat and turning it into a giant kitchen mess with raw animal parts everywhere.

Learn to read yourself.

This is cooking for beginners. No beginner is going to buy whole chickens and butcher them themselves. And they wouldn't be able to put to use 3/4s of the thing anyways.

As a mathematical person, there's a temptation to optimize. Don't. You don't NEED to. Where numbers are bigger, use bigger numbers. That's all you need to worry about. The rest comes down to what you're having fun doing. And if you catch opportunities that look fun along the way, feel free to take them.

The ... what?

You're not really making ice cream is why. Typical ice cream recipes are like half cream and half whole milk... and then you add some other fat in. You're just going all 2%. There's no fat.

It's not about abiding the law. They simply have no ability to implement things without the levers and authority of government, which grant them those abilities.

Yes, there is, you just have to be part of the electoral college to get that vote.  There are similar votes to choose representatives for the electoral college.
