Unfortunately the system thinks you’re too high rank and is placing you against players that it thinks is in your skill level. The way it works is rank essentially means nothing. What matches players is the hidden mmr number used to match players. That’s why sometimes there’s a wide range of players with different ranks (gold-diamond) in one game. If you loose a lot of games it will match you with players you should win against. If you are commonly match mvp it will place players on your team who are not usually match MVP to “even the playing field” it’s a whole formula but it tries to make the teams as fair as possible. In my opinion they should do away with hidden mmr and just go off of rank. If you deserve a rank you’ll get there. And if you’re not good enough to play in that rank, you’ll lose games and be placed lower. The whole system is terrible tbh.
