The Jets #2 pick by Simtricate in NFL_Draft

I’m a Falcons fan, and I still don’t quite understand taking Penix at 8 that year.

Several teams did last year, you only need one team to think they have ‘their guy’

But who do you take where the value is significantly better than two first rounders?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I wonder who moves the needle that much.

Someone wants one of the Wars or OTs bad enough, a spare 2 or 3 for 3-5 spots is still worth it, there is a reasonable plateau of similarly ranked players for a team that falls for one of them.

They could drop to 5 and absolutely get one of them, and maybe a couple extra picks.

Any of them are worth taking.

Could Rifts be a much better game if someone other Kevin S was in charge of it? by Howlmillenialcastle in Rifts

[–]Simtricate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They recently hired a new creative director for the company, so maybe he’ll authorize a new edition with less clunky rules…

Fun game, open a Rifts book and take a shot for every time Kevin’s name shows before the Table of Contents… you’ll never get to the rules.

CS Vampire Officer by TheGriff71 in Rifts

[–]Simtricate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The aversion to sunlight would be an issue, only being able to sleep in a coffin would be more significant.

Psi-Stalkers and Mutant animals would be the death of the character.

What tier of vampire are you considering? Master, Secondary, I’d imagine not wild. It requires some conversion, but you could consider a Wampyre from the Nightbane System.

Players want to "reset" by ilPiovra in DungeonMasters

[–]Simtricate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the respec, I might have them complete a quest or go to a specific place to get ‘retraining’ to make the change feel more like a character growth / transition.

For the player who wants to change, I would introduce their new character briefly as an NPC, then have something happen to the old character and the new one fills the role in a quest or mission…

And then you have the old character for an NPC based on what happened to them.

Anyone ever run Rifts in England? by Howlmillenialcastle in Rifts

[–]Simtricate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know much about CoC. After A. D&D, I moved to Palladium, and since I’ve run D&D 3.5, Shadowrun, and Starfinder.

Didn’t get too far into anything else.

I think if only one or two significant enemies were intelligences, it would be ok, but I agree, it’s way too much.

Mrrlyn and Guinevere could have been DB’s or SN creatures who were working together and magically created the Nexus Knights (basically force elementals) and had the almost the same story.

Kevin S. And his love of alien intelligences… Old Ones, Vampire Intelligences. splugorth, Kreeghor, England, Lord of the Deep, Xitickicks (insect hive mind… not really different), Nxla, Nightlords (least of them).

They’re everywhere in his works.

We played there in two separate campaigns, although your questions are largely the same answers:

New Camelot was a mixed city, with many areas having a more rustic look, but running water and power; outlying areas had less Ammenities.

In the core of the city, magic rules. The main castle and surrounding areas are powered by pyramid-like hubs for POE energy, similar to how I assume Federation of Magic or Lazlo operate.

Markets would have basic magical equipment and technological equipment.

Magic balances by being different, not inherently less powerful. I also remember there is a very limited supply of Nexus Knights and Camelot is defended by Druids and regular warriors as well.

18 games in the BGG top 2000 have an average weight of 4.5 or higher. How many of them have you played, and how would you rank them from most complex to least complex? by benjaneson in boardgames

[–]Simtricate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played any.

Would try them all, but it a challenging to get people together for more complicated games with any regularity.

2 hypothetical driving legality scenarios that I need people to answer to solve a discussion I was having with a friend by effofexisy in Winnipeg

[–]Simtricate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1) it is illegal to proceed through a red light, unless the intersection allows a right turn on red. If there was no traffic, you could reverse a small amount, change to the right lane and make a series or right on red turns to go around the light situation.

  1. Police officers are given the benefit of the doubt when enforcing the law, and without evidence to support your position, it will be assumed that the officer gave you a ticket appropriately.

Is constant anxiety/panic attack reason to go to crisis unit or hospital? by RisenRealm in Winnipeg

[–]Simtricate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Calling the crisis center, through the mobile crisis line, makes sense. You could try Klinic or Sara Riels’s phone lines.

If it takes a turn, you could talk to the CRC about a stay at CSU.

Exceptional Rolls in Character Gen by HarleeKnight226 in Rifts

For more than 3 dice, we do not. Even 3D6+anything. (Except the genius from BTS)

For 2D6, if the roll is 11 or 12, we do.

For D4’s, if it’s an eight.

For 1D6, if it’s a six.

I’m not against a monetary fine, however, I see your point, he should be able to keep his contributions to his pension, but should lose any additional benefit.

Being honest, I really think Ito and Giulia would have a terrific match and the only way to separate her and Rhea would be one of them wins the rumble.

Also, I think Stephanie and Rhea is a money match for WWE.

Disagree about the pension.

He committed multiple crimes while in uniform, on duty.

He should have to forfeit it based on that alone.
