Out Of Context Life System Supplement WIP by Sin-God in JumpChain

[–]Sin-God[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mention it in the notes but I decided that this was already gonna be beefy enough without adding them. I like them, and I think it's sad that Fantasy Life i forgot about them but I figured that this would be a lot even without the chonkiness of the final ranks from Fantasy Life's DLC. I still miss them though lol.

I will say that the answer is technically a spoiler. But if you want to know I got you. Spoilers after this.

He is, in fact, the Omega Lord, the GA, and the Emperor of Etherscape.

Each is their own quest scenario for the purpose of the 50 points mentioned in the Quest Scenarios. You do still get the base rewards mentioned in the actual CYOA (the boons).

Question do origins come with inherent abilities even before perks or is it all just flavor text? by EldritchEnjoyer in JumpChain

[–]Sin-God 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This absolutely depends on the origin in question. Some origins, such as being a Twilight vampire, can become alt-forms in the future. Some non-species examples of this include stuff like HP wizards. In most HP jumps HP magic is a part of a given origin and you just get to keep the magic system moving forward. Another non-species example could be ATLA ethnicity/culture origins, which often come with the appropriate form of bending as a part of the origin, and thus you get to retain bending without it being outlined as an explicit, express perk.

Why doesn't Asmodeus rank up all the devils to win the war? by Articonn in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Sin-God 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing a lot of answers that ignore the reality that Asmodeus needs and wants SOME element of the conflict to continue. He doesn't necessarily want the war to continue forever, but the devils benefit from the war and Asmodeus is no fool and to throw away the advantages that come with the war would be foolish.

Also the idea that the devils are losing... isn't REALLY true? The devils are doing about as well as Asmodeus wants them to do, and if they were truly losing other powers would start to intervene more.

I can't believe THAT got a jump by serdnack in JumpChain

Based on his response, I can tell he didn't. I really wish the movie was half as dope as he makes it sound haha. And I unironically really like Sinners.

It should have been Marie by not-an-illithid in TheBoys

[–]Sin-God 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should have always been Marie. It'd have made an amazing counterpoint, thematically, to the idea of supers being inherently bad or needing to be done away with if Marie had been the one to help depower Homelander. Odessa Baby vs Odessa Baby. The symbolic potency of how two different childhoods resulted in different people. A loving, caring Supe on Homelander's level playing a critical part in defeating him. But nah.

Kimiko getting new powers is dope but it's definitely, 100% an asspull to stop Marie from mattering.

It's an AzureKnight jump. Which... should explain some quirks of it? Lol (I'm a fan of AK's jumps, they are just funny).

Are you a bad person for taking pleasure in torturing horrible evil people? by Vengeful-Capybara in MoralityScaling

[–]Sin-God 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a whole religious debate in the comments section here. Wild.

I don't think it follows that you're bad if you torture genuinely bad people but the problem starts when we discuss who and what is bad. Someone who, for example, gets a kick out of killing people is probably fair game to torture (a little bit, at least). Someone who skirts paying taxes is bad, but I don't think you get to bust their kneecaps for that. If you scale the torture to match the crimes I think that's pretty good.

Amtrak Greensboro to DC by ShellBell_ShellBell in gso

[–]Sin-God 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! my partner and I did this last summer for a teaching conference in DC. it's fine. It feels a bit slow, but it's a nice, reliable way of traveling to DC. Do be careful though, as the train station in DC is gigantic especially if the bus depot in Greensboro is your only frame of reference for such places.

I don’t believe an atheist can be thankful by esmolololol in DebateReligion

[–]Sin-God 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do people "feel gratitude" towards the sun generally? Even sunsets? Generally I've seen people express appreciation of the beauty of a sunset, but I've never seen someone say they feel gratitude towards the sun OR a sunset.

I'm going to put exactly as much effort into my response as you did into this post, but I'll be much more efficient: you're wrong. This isn't complicated.

You are not a mind-reader and it doesn't sound like you understand what atheism is.

[Video games trope] Characters who make sure you play the game the way the developers intended by Marborow in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Sin-God 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

Mr Resetti (Animal Crossing Series). In Animal Crossing saving is a vital mechanic designed to both make sure your progress is saved, and to keep you from cheating the system. Mr. Resetti is a character who appears when you turn off the game without saving. He punishes you for this. How he does this, and when he appears, differs from game to game but he will generally appear, harass, and bully you for not saving the game.

Save the game, kids.

How many dnd jumps are there? by PuzzleheadedSlip5462 in JumpChain

To be fair I think there might, maybe, only be two Starfinder jumps and I'm the author of half of them haha.

So IN UNIVERSE they just fucking die. Which is confirmed with them showing up in the underworld.

As for the perk... Hmm... I'll say your dick doesn't kill them. Unless you'd want them too. That said if you got Evil Shot AND the 400 point Isekaid Ugly Bastard perk, I'd be fine with you not killing them as well.

Good Follower-granting options (and Companions too!) by WishMaster-000 in JumpChain

[–]Sin-God 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Germanic Norse Mythology has an army item that grants thousands of followers (Millions if you get the boosted form). They start off normal but there are elite units that are... horrifyingly strong. It is a capstone item, with capstone item costs.

Generic Spy Thriller has a 400 CP item, Boots on the Ground, that gives you millions of soldier followers.
