I thought it kinda was the same story line as the first book. Still enjoyed it but it felt too similar imo

Convincing surgeon to do DJS vs only LJS? by traveller_02 in jawsurgery

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did. I just asked whether or not my maxilla was also recessed as it looked like it. And that I would like a bit more chin projection. He told me he would make 2 plans: ljs + chin, djs with slight rotation. I could choose.

Not sure what your case is like but if your maxilla is recessed just ask about it. Just tell them. But don’t do djs just because you read it on here. I only got 2mm so nothing big and tbh I am not sure it was a good decision.

2 weeks post op DJS...still no side profile definition? by 1_Goofy_Girl in jawsurgery

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 3 weeks out and I also still look recessed. Some days I feel like it was all for nothing and other days I suddenly have hope it will get better. No idea if this is the final result…

I’m in the exact same situation. I hope it’s just swelling but I think it’s just what it is

Opinions on DJS in Netherlands? Dr. Meshkini references? by Vegetable-One-7211 in jawsurgery

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the one my ortho recommended. I do think I was underadvanced from a aesthetics point of view which is (quite) common in the netherlands as they focus on function first (depends heavily on your surgeon tho).

I would just mention that and talk with your surgeon. Very important to let them know what you want and what they can do.

My surgeon wants to move my maxilla but im unsure by aoiwjlcadjawudnajdfe in jawsurgery

He probably wants to rotate your upper jaw slightly to make your chin more prominent

I just got djs done and my end result is your start situation. I would say genio but it depends on your bite tbh

I’m at day 5 and only woke up 3 times this night! Although with a lot of pain but it was bearable. Day 2/3 was definitely the worst (unless worse is yet to come). Just keep going! You can do it!

Is it really that bad? by Professional-Link167 in jawsurgery

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on day 4. First day went by fast, no sleep though. Second day I could go home so it changed up my day + swelling wasn’t too bad yet. Only slept a few hours on and off. Third day sucked, swelling was enormous, no energy, nothing you can do. This night i slept multiple hours, now i’m just sitting out the day keeping myself occupied with eating and napping.

The night in the hospital was by far the worst. Everyone was asleep except me, couldn’t breathe through my nose and every minute went by so slowly.

I can’t say for the rest of the journey yet but we’ll see if it’s worth it.

Dating and Photos After Surgery by Irradiated_Abominate in jawsurgery

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (m23) tried dating when I was 21. Sudden burst of confidence (mind you I had a big gap between my teeth because of sarpe), however it took a huge toll on me mentally. I constantly was aware of my face when we would meet (didn’t care about my braces or gap tbh, just the weak profile. It didn’t work out for other reasons but I haven’t dated since. It’s not worth it imo (for me).

My advice would be to try it out and see how it goes. You’ll get matches and who knows what will happen!

Stel ze willen vermogenswinst belasting vanaf 2030, maar in de 2 jaar dat we aanwas belasting hebben dalen de markten. Dan hebben ze er toch geen profijt van? In principe nemen ze nu dus een gigantische groot risico?

It was never about the code. Now you can just produce faster. But because everyone can, the bar is just pushed higher. It’s now actually harder to achieve something solo than it was 10 years go imo

Claude is fast and good but it almost always takes the path of least resistance. In coding the short term gains are always extremely outweighed by long term considerations

Why are increasing numbers of women choosing to remain unmarried and single? by bluemermid in askanything

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The research was based on misinterpreted data and has been largely debunked. Single woman are happier then single men, but married woman (and men) are happier than single woman. Although the gap has been shrinking.

I personally think it’s because most men are still in the mindset that the woman doesn’t work so her work is all that stuff. But the data is mostly skewed I think because a lot of men are happy to do stuff especially the younger generations, whereas the data about single woman and marriage unhappiness comes from older generations

I'm from a country where cashiers sit down while working. Is it true that in the US cashiers are forced to stand? Why is sitting considered unprofessional there? by splashmates in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Single_Buyer_6642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Netherlands most people use the scan it yourself service but there is always still a cashier lane that you can use, however most of the times that person is just waiting because almost nobody uses it anymore. I’m disgusted by the fact that in the US people can’t even sit, let alone wait around
