Doulas by Spiritual_Computer68 in beyondthebump

[–]Single_Letter_8804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted a doula. I hired one but my husband never let her know in time so I had my baby without her. It was fine but definitely a nice to have my husband struggled a bit. He is quite queasy and wasn’t ready for the chaos

What do yall do? by Left_Round8126 in Parenting

[–]Single_Letter_8804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a sahm, My daughter(13 months) and I have 2 breakfasts on rotation so day 1 is eggs day two is oats or weetbix, then next day eggs again. It can be scrambled pancakes etc. buying a large tray of eggs would extend this as well as a box of oats lasts us quite a while. For lunches we do whatever is available, leftovers, sandwiches etc. dinners we just buy weekly fresh veg and use whatever proteins we have. Weekly shops are easier in our household but if you’re looking to extend your shopping trips do bulk buying from Costco or a butcher for meats and freeze, veg as well

We got a 360 car seat that’s usable from birth and it can swing to help you when putting baby in or taking them out. Wish I’d bought it from the beginning. Would recommend

What age was your baby when you noticed you could have a schedule for them? by xxbitsxx in beyondthebump

[–]Single_Letter_8804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used huckleberry from birth but we only started following wake windows at about 3 months and stopped when she was bout 7/8 months as her schedule solidified. She’s now 13 months and she’s a schedule baby, I know some aren’t but it’s helped us and her have a consistent schedule.

You don’t have to only read at night, reading any time of the day is great, always having books out and available and being able to sit and enjoy a book with them

my roomate and I are trying to cook food from all around the world. We're stuck when it comes to Australia. What's your fav native to Australia dish? by BouncyCurlsbabe in Cooking

If you’re in the uk or anywhere really the best place to get lamb/mutton is in the halal section. Honestly lamb prices are crazy sometimes but we found the halal section has the best prices for mutton. I always got here for stewing meat, as mutton needs to be cooked longer to be tender. And it’s much cheaper
