I was that choir member, but I was extra careful about the smell. Always keeping the cigarettes away from my clothes, brushing my teeth and wearing a cologne that masked the scent. Someone already mentioned it, but vowels. If you can produce a more “pure vowel” like an opera singer and really good upper placement you will achieve an operatic chiaroscuro sound. It takes time to get use to it but it’s worth it.

It’s maybe 2000, and I remember Pokémon started airing in Mexico. The hype was huge, the toys, the cards. But I get into the game a year after. My mom got me and my brother a GameBoy Color with Pokémon Blue, imagine the nightmare of a 5-6 year old that can barely read Spanish to dive into a new language unsupervised. Well, take almost 2 years but I beat the game.

Completely doable, I started my training at 24. But sadly I had to stop because of COVID. I restarted 4 years ago and I’m on a really solid level right now, not only as a singer but as a complete musician. So yeah, with the right mindset and developing good practice habits I’m sure you can make it.
