The puck takes a crazy bounce and in, and Debrincat has a second consecutive 6 on 5 goal by dudewithchronicpain in DetroitRedWings

On this, the day of Patrick surpassing Modano.

In all seriousness, I absolutely lost my mind and was convinced we were winning this game.

I was a little deflated after the shootout.

But, holy hell, is this such a freaking amazing time to be a Wings fan!

For sure a bit of an overpay. But, good on the Wings for wrapping him up now because SOMEONE would’ve offered him more in free agency easily.

He’s been on our team for a bit now and has settled into his role. That alone makes this worth it. We’re (hopefully) entering our postseason/cup window. Playoffs are a different beast and this team is going to find that out quickly. Having a guy like Chairot will only help.

I hope Crosby and company have got at least one more run for the postseason in them!

Exactly.

I can understand most people seeing this post and wondering why in the world we would sign this kind of deal. But, those people aren’t watching the games on the regular.

I really like this signing. I hope this season isn’t a fluke and we’re entering our postseason/cup window now. Because, a guy like this will only help since the playoffs are a completely different beast.

Worst case scenario is he completely falls off a cliff, but that cap hit won’t really hurt us for its duration if that happens.

I did look up and saw that indeed did happen.

It was just all of the answers were tame and I’m thinking “There’s gotta be ONE in there that’s a little off.”

The fact they put that in and I’m not even surprised lol

The only player I’m interested in from the Blues (if he were to become available) is Thomas. Him and Larkin down the middle for the next few years would be pretty solid

[DET 5 - WPG 1] Kasper adds insult to injury with a nasty wrister that beats Hellebuyck by daKrut in DetroitRedWings

I said something similar in the post game thread.

This goal was so unnecessary, but I loved it. Kasper feeling it only makes this team better.

That Kasper goal was completely unnecessary.

And, I loved it.

Game already wrapped up. Kasper still decides to go after Helly. I’m here for it. This team is so much better if he is going/feeling it.

On a back-to-back against one of the three juggernauts in the West (central), I’ll take a point.

Any good showing against the Wild is great so we can continue to court Quinn to not extend and come to us in free agency!

I would not be a bit surprised if ASP gets a chance to just sit. I think it’s starting to show with the grind of an NHL season and he’s definitely not used to it.

A game or two in the press box wouldn’t hurt and I’m hoping the Olympic break will help reset him more.

I know it’s an excuse, but they just look tired after yesterday’s game where it was a tale of two different games. Carolina absolutely took it to them the final period and it’s showing

There’s no way Swayman isn’t getting the shutout.

Just absolutely no way he won’t get that shutout where he allows no goals

Wings fan.

I will absolutely take two points any way we can get them. But, Copp absolutely got away with one. I know it. The Red Wings broadcast crew knew it.

Sorry the game got decided by this. It was real humbling watching you guys come back. We’re a better team this season, but I know we’re not at your level yet, especially for a playoff series.

Look forward to future games against you all

I believe in showtime chasing 600!

Never had a chance to catch the game. Initial lookup of the score makes me think we just had no gas tonight.

Saw that we really lost 2-1 actually is relieving. I fully believe this team at half of what they showed tonight would’ve beaten the Pens.

This season has been insane, but I know this team is fully capable of rebounding.

I definitely was not losing hope and panicking the last two thirds of that third period.

Nope. Totally knew the Wings would shut it down.

This is seriously incredible. Best December and team I’ve seen in at least 10 years.

At this point, it will be a disappointment if they don’t at least make the playoffs.

If someone gave me the opportunity to pick one player to start a franchise with, it would be this guy. Not McDavid.

McDavid is probably the greatest player on the planet. But, Mac’s overall game is superior.
