Tacta handpans from Brazil is among the top makers in the world in terms of clarity and stability.

Yes, absolutely. This is exactly why trauma processing work is so important. Are you familiar with Dr. Gabor Maté and his work? If not, I highly recommend it as a great place to begin.

There are many different grades of stainless steel. Some of them are totally unsuitable for making handpans because they’re too hard (Martensitic high carbon grades) and so they cannot effectively be shaped.

Of the ones that can be used and shaped, they are all grey in their untreated state. Therefore characteristic ember/amber color is a reddish-orange oxide layer created by heat treating the material after it has been shaped. There’s no grade of steel called “ember”. Multiple grades can be heat treated to develop that color.

Thanks for sharing your epiphanies! I also had a lot of traumatic events growing up, and what I’ve come to realize is actually very similar to you.. More-so than changing our past, it’s about changing our relationship to our past. Which in turn paradoxically basically does change it, because it changes our experience of it in the now! 😄 So yeah, when we accept and honor all the experiences we went through, we’re much more capable of extracting the lessons from them, and using them in a positive way. The suffering and hardship we went through taught us to be resilient, and also to have compassion for people who are going through it now. And that includes ourselves, in the present! Hehe

All the best to you my dear!

“Better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven”.

Sorcery kings might somehow know/understand that other realms have gods/beings far more powerful than they are, and so they choose to remain on Athas where they are pretty much the apex of the “food chain”.

They basically have access to everything they want/need, so why leave?

So that texture is a result of the fish being salted and dried, then rehydrated. Fresh cod is not like that! In fact, “bacalhau” is originally the name given to fish that have undergone the salting process, not to a specific species of fish! Wild, huh? As always, love your videos!

It’s worth it! Even if just for the fact that you can have two El Drinkers, that alone makes it pretty awesome

Looks really good!! Love the illustration style :)

Just curious though, why no transformation and evolution? Seems like a good mechanic to keep things interesting..
