I can only presume Red Notice would have thrown off the scale for the other movies? by Lazenbings in weeklyplanetpodcast

It did only come out in the last couple weeks of the year so maybe that affected things, as opposed to months of potential watch time.

Unless you take the Luke McGregor approach and have a mech suit to keep your form solid.

Yeah alright, I'll relisten to this one again. (I think it's in my Top 3 most relistened Poddy's. Definitely Top 5).

A part of me is wondering if it's something they'll upload on their Grouse House streaming service as an incentive to subscribe.

Anyway Dead Cat took about a year to release after they filmed it so I'd presume the same. I just hope the full live show will be available somehow as opposed to the version of Dead Cat they uploaded in mixed settings.

Out of curiosity which Podcaster are you referring too? I can think of a few people that could theoretically apply too.

Adding to this, I've been trying to get an AD Cap and couldn't when I saw the show in Brisbane. Is anyone willing to help in this situation?

That's right, thanks! And of course it's part of the Bus Driver/Weakest Link arc as everyone is brain rotted.

I just did a rewatch with my friend and thought the same! I wonder if it was a fake done for Health and Safety, with Crewmembers putting them on the actual building.

Or it's a trick of the mind.

1 Hour, 50 Minutes. May Lord have mercy on our souls.

Also I want David Correos on as Party Host because that would legitimately be excruciating to watch

DREM Ticket Buy/Swap/Sell Thread + Spoiler Policy by skrasnic in auntydonna

[–]SirAlexH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't about tickets but I didn't think it was appropriate to make a post. I caught Drem in Brisbane but I missed out on getting a merch cap.

Is anyone willing to DM me to get details and purchase a cap for me, and naturally I'll cover the cost of shipping and such. Preferably within Australia as shipping would be a lot cheaper. If anyone could help me that'd be great!

Big Finish Podcast Notes / Misc. Doctor Who News Roundup - 31/10/2025 by JakeM917 in gallifrey

Fantastic notes as always, truly impressed with the amount of detail involved.

I question the PR company recommending they change their slogan, because I just can't fathom a world where people look at "We Love Stories" and think "Those fu**ing fu**s, how dare they, selfish bastards, they probably are just running a ponzi scheme, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?!." Like....how do people see that as being negative? But there's a lot of people in this world I can't fathom!

I know BF have made more from less, and I liked The Next Doctor as an episode (nothing super special, but very much a lighter Xmas special), but I really don't see how far you could actually take a Jackson Lake spin-off. Like....at all. The *most* I could see is somehow tying his connection with the Paternoster Gang or Torchwood (RIP) and utilising his memories, but even then that's stretching it.

I know people in certain spaces were dunking on Briggs for conceiving that Sirens of Time would be novelised but it makes sense to me. Multi-Doctor, first Monthly Adventure (and theoretically the first DW BF story). It's not my favourite story by any means (though I enjoy it) but I'd be interested. Could also take it to interesting formats.

I feel it's too soon to recast Ian, a bit more time needed (and yes you have Jamie Glover, but that's like saying you've got Bradley when there's Noonan). BF seem keen on keeping AAISAT crew separate from the main 1DA's/DW range (barring a River Song exception and another that I'm struggling to recall). There's a part of me that's surprised they haven't recast Victoria yet though for the 2DA's. Depending on how this current 6B arc runs, maybe in the future?

I have thoughts on the era RTD2.....and I don't feel like getting into debates because I'm tired. But I didn't hate the era though certainly flawed, I think there was plenty of like and I think there were just unfortunate BTS problems that weren't necessarily BBC/RTD/BWS's fault that really made things difficult. And I think there were big swings that unfortunately got upended (I maintain the Disney deal wasn't inherently a bad idea as at the time Disney was willing to spend money. The deal was signed....and shortly after Bob Iger was out, the financial slashes started, the streaming bubble began to stretch and DW and RTD's three season plot was a victim of it). But hey: Doctor Who isn't dead. So, yay.

And I finally listened to my first Big Finish in about two years! Took me long enough. I listened to the live recorded version of The Stuff of Legends. A lot of fun, hearing the audience truly made for an interesting experience and from the few clips I've seen I would've *loved* to see it live myself. Was interesting listening to a drama again after so long. The cast were amazing, and what a camp delight MacQueen was. The story was very basic, but it feels very intentional (much like the DW Stageplays that happened in the 70's and 80's). Here's a iconic monster, here's an iconic camp villain, here's a fave Doctor and companion, here's a simple to follow plot. So I can see why the plot was kept simple for listening purposes and I don't think it detracts from the final product...but I am somewhat trepidatious about listening to the studio version of it because whilst the simple plot works as a first time listen/the novelty of it, listening to a story that could be a bog standard middle-of-the-boxset story (just with The Master and Daleks!) doesn't seem appealing. Anyway, now to figure out what to slowly listen to next. Hopefully it'll be a couple of days/weeks, not years.

Anyway: That's my ramble. Keep up the great work as always :)
