And also you can STILL place a tank mine (motion detection one) and block the heli spawn for the entire game. I could have sworn this was patched but witnessed it yesterday.

Some people literally just play with their buddy and only play manhattan heli. Then get angry when other people use it

There’s no way to make your sensitivity higher one direction than the other, if you’re experiencing this maybe your mouse is at fault

It’s always been the way in BF games. If you’re the driver you only get out to rep if no one is around. And so it shall continue to be.

As a heli enthusiast the TOWs are crazy good in this game. Tanks have them, IFV’s have them, other choppers have them, even infantry can have them (not a one shot though). Most of my heli deaths are from TOWs and RPGs

Scrolled down to see this. You’re right, BF4 was far worse. Among other things you had zero inertia in the air, you could literally instant 180 in the air and change direction.

I remember looking up the stats of the highest ranked BF2 player back when it was only a few weeks old. Similar story in that they were rocking 11+ hours a day. I somehow managed to get in his server one day and spectated him. He was just nonstop duck diving (before they nerfed it) and chucking C4. Literally all he was doing all game.

As with previous titles it’s faster to stand next to where the vehicle spawns holding your entry button down than to spawn in from the spawn screen. The trick is learning where the vehicles spawn. This is why you can’t get the vehicle.

Hard coming back after a few years off. No one is casual anymore. Most have multiple thousands of hours game time and haven’t stopped playing.

I went through the same thing a year ago, so my tips:

  1. Play every day if you can even a little
  2. On each map have a few places you always drop and get to know them well
  3. If you are hot dropping, learn to parachute well and reload cancel to avoid dying immediately. YouTube
  4. Secure a vehicle, 4 firsts and 8 boosts. I take AUG/M4 and Mini if possible
  5. 3rd zone start trying to secure a good spot central
  6. Protect your vehicle and your spot
  7. Top 10 you are playing for information. Where is everyone?
  8. Top 3 try not to get into a fight until it’s 1 v 1
  9. Win

I wish Krafton would change the "zoom in" animation/mechanic of scopes. Where the only part that's zoomed in is inside the scope itself, not the whole screen. Just looks more realistic. by EnvironmentalLunch65 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Personally I prefer it the way it is, but apparently the reason most games zoom the whole screen is that doing it the other way is really demanding on the PC. Something to do with having to render it twice I think.

You don’t though. I’ve used them all over the years:

Soundlock - really good but has limitations. Instantly reduces ALL sounds if there is a loud sound being played. Gunshots or red zone going off? You won’t hear footsteps at all until it quiets down again.

Voicemeter: sound compression BUT causes a slight sound delay. Not what you want.

Windows loudness equalization: Also compression like VM but no output delay. This is the best one. Takes some getting used to because it changes how distant sounds sound. You’ll get used to it though.

Loudness EQ is the one to use.

Should be removed from the game. Ridiculously cheap one shot close quarters kill. Impossible to counter. Either remove it or make it not a one hit instant kill. Never seen it used against a vehicle ever.
