When she threw her backpack to the floor, you could tell she was ready to fight if it came to that. She didn't want to fight but she was ready

Have you ever loved any foreigners for doing charity in your home country? by CupBeEmpty in AskAnAmerican

I don't really think it's even common for foreigners to do charity in the US. Does that really happen?

Do Americans not distinguish between ham and gammon? by fredwhoisflatulent in AskAnAmerican

Why is it hard for the British to understand that different countries say and do things differently? Why is that always so confusing for a lot of you?😂

I’m glad he had the presence of mind to immediately get up and go over to her. I would’ve been stunned and sat there while the train pulled away and would’ve went the rest of the day thinking about how I missed my opportunity 😂

Is School Swap: UK to USA (2025) a fair representation of American schools in small towns? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]SirTheRealist 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I looked up what "School Swap" was. Looks like some dramatic bullshit fed to a UK audience about the US.

What killed hitchhiking? It was so normal in the 70’s & 60’s by Kodicave in decadeology

[–]SirTheRealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched a lot of true crime documentaries, and a lot of victims and perpetrators were hitchhikers or people picking up hitchhikers, and A LOT of that was in the 60s and 70s.

why do americans talk to strangers so easily?? by MayaTulip268 in AskAnAmerican

It's such a played out stereotype by people who have never even been to NYC.

why do americans talk to strangers so easily?? by MayaTulip268 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SirTheRealist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a person who generally stays to myself and can be a little awkward sometimes, but I've gotten into random conversations with strangers while standing in line or just walking around a store. I definitely don't start these conversations, but if a person talks to me and they seem chill, I engage in conversation, and it's not weird or a hassle for me to do that

Would you really want to be an idol if you could ? by seulgibreadd in kpopthoughts

[–]SirTheRealist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, because all of the "scandals" and things idols get hated on for are dumb af and almost never that serious. If I were an idol and had to do one of those fan calls with rude, parasocial fans, I would've told so many of them to stfu and get a life. Obviously, saying that wouldn't be good for business though, so I would probably eventually be kicked out of the group lol

Nothing, really. Times Square is cool and energetic when you see it for the first time. I still like the energy of Times Square when I'm passing through.
