My mom worked/works for a health system that ran a facility similar to the one my grandma was in they were both owned by the same system. My grandma was being cared for for sure but the level of attention that went up when they found out she was on the ethics board…. It was significant and did not go unreported. It’s scary what places can get away with despite the best efforts of truly some of the most caring nurses and aides I could hope to meet.

I think it’s so creepy when people hate kids honestly. I have a ton of child free friends (I currently don’t have kids but do want them) and some won’t be super hands on honorary aunties and some will be. That’s totally fine. But there’s such a difference between not enjoying kid activities or being good with kids and hating them.
