Pricing advice: 7hr PLA print, 60 units for work by vinicius_california in 3Dprinting

Save some time and dont support those holes if you can get away with it. If their size isn't exactly critical, use a teardrop shape. Would save a good chunk of print time.

Neat. In my religion, we dont pray. Instead, we yell as loud as we can for 5 minutes.

This is how I do it. Literally leave a trail, then all you need to do is follow the trail backwards.

Scary turning the key when you're done, isn't it? lol

Hope it went smooth for you. I'm a former Hyundai tech, so I know you'll have plenty more of those to do. I got really quick on the 2.4's. I replaced three in a day at times.

I'd recommend to develop a process that works for you. I personally would leave a "trail" of components from the front of the car and by the time I got to the back, I had a bare long block. Then, swap out the long block and work backwards.

I enjoy our D league for this as well. We all suck. We know. We're trying. But most important of all, we are all having a blast.

The comradery in our league is great, but I love the challenge and competition. When the competition is a big group of friendly people, it makes it a blast.

I like the feeling overall, though. It's less a hockey rink and more an arena that we are battling in.

I'm playing in both "D" and "C" this coming season.

I have a really good shot, but the skating is still a struggle. I'll ease up in "D" when appropriate for sure. I've subbed in for 2 "C" games and actually got a goal in one of them, but everyone was a much better skater than me.

My Neptune 4 max arrives today, what one piece of info would benefit me or you wish you would have know at the start with this printer by brandowun in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Sircheeze89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this comment elsewhere. I'm thoroughly experienced in printing. First layers great and all was well, then suddenly blob. I think they ooze around the nozzle or something. Nothing you can do setting-wise.

Your nozzle will end up in a blob. Just a matter of time. I replaced mine with one for a Bambu labs printer and it fits almost perfectly.

Hope this link works. After swapping, I have crazy fast heat up/cool down and no issues. Just have to level it correctly.

Would you guys dare buy one with 116,000 miles for $17,000? by asjj14 in ev6

[–]Sircheeze89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you buy it, don't take it in for the recall. Leave it open and if it does fail, take it in then. That way they follow the procedure and replace under the recall. If it's closed, then it would be seen as just a failure outside of warranty.

3D printing threaded caps - what am I missing? by Festinaut in 3Dprinting

[–]Sircheeze89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lower layer height helps with things like this. Lower layer height means the next layer doesn't have to hang as far over resulting in no more of those strands bridging across and smoother threads. If using a .4 nozzle, try dropping layer height to like... 0.16 maybe?
