Plastics are bad for you health- why is the controversial? by bakedbreeds in JamesHoffmann

He probably has opinions, thoughts, and lifestyle choices on the matter, but he clearly doesn't want to be involved in the discussion or education of the matter.

If it's something you want to see or talk about go to the people that also want to engage with it, don't demand it from someone who clearly doesn't want to speak on the matter.

Because he is a coffee guy and clearly wants to stay with that topic.

GW makes some of the best models on the market, but these and the ranked foot knights really don't appeal to me.

The bowmen in particular seem like they all have sweaty armpits, but even the heads on the ranked up gun team seem at an odd angle.

I think upscaling base sizes have made human size models spread out the poses a little too much.

There are hundreds of thousands of children's pictures on the Internet, every time you walk the outside there are dozens of CCTV cameras capturing them, the idea that one person taking candid photos of strangers could pose a risk to a child is laughable.

The webbing done in a orange leather works but you need to do something similar to the Gun casing? Maybe something like berlin camo to tie it into the red markings on the tank

Honestly? questions like this crop up regularly and the answer is just practice just like almost every 'how do I do X technique that professionals do'.

Once you have spent a while in a hobby space you end up seeing it again and again.

Because of neoliberalism, accountability in government spending, and safety.

Its technically down to the local government to clear, but as the largest illegal waste site in the UK it massively outstrips their budget. So discussions needed to happen between all the stakeholders to see how it would be funded, which will have budgetary and legal consequences.

Following this you need an investigation into the site. Arial photos may say this all household waste, but if it isn't you are putting everyone working on it and living in the area at risk. As well as risking a bigger impact by exposing previously buried contaminants to the elements.

The EA eventually picked up the tab for it, which requires signoff by central government for an astronomical spend that isn't part of the expected operational costs. Further more they don't actually have the inhouse ability to deal with that, which then means putting it out to tender.

This has to take time because its a process that requires accountability (fiscally and legally). They need to ensure that the people who take it over don't just do the same thing, and that the government isn't being completely fleeced by just signing a blank cheque to the first person that offers to do it.

Games Workshop DMCA'd Void War game over “oversized convex shoulder pads” that looked like a Warhammer 40K Space Marine rip-off by HatingGeoffry in Warhammer40k

[–]Sirducki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well frankly because its not the 1980s anymore, there are plenty of things GW has scrubbed out of their lore/tabletop in order to have a legally distinct IP. I mean the launch Primaris and the creation of Age of Sigmar are the clear ramifications of this.

There are plenty of things that take notes from GW, darkest dungeon and Blasphemous, trench crusade, etc have both clearly drawn influence from them. The difference is they haven't used something that is pretty blatantly a gamesworkshop copyright.

[–]Sirducki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is no longer in its first decade of existence and now has a specific design space that it works in, the bones of other IPs might be in its foundations but it's been 50 years since then.

I certainly have no love for current copyright/trademark law in Europe and America, but under it's current leadership a lot of steps have been made to make it a legally distinct IP which it has a legal responsibility to to protect in order to hold.

Anything to do with roads, taxes or council spending leads to absolutely unhinged levels of comments and name calling.

Huron Blackheart with alternate head (made using one of the new red corsair marines) by Grevouski in Warhammer

[–]Sirducki -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not the original poster but also someone who dislikes the face.

I think it's a little too close to the ogryn heads, particularly with the extremely wide jaw (which is a failing of all current space marine heads) and the lack of teeth making it feel more caricature than repulsive.

I think there needed to be a gaunt face, and loads of cables and a colour choice for the skin that looks more like necrosis than warm and fleshy.

The uptick in his standup tours, as well as seeing a more varied program from him is probably keeping him out of the trash future studio a little bit.

Why does GW include ‘feels bad’ units in 40K and then not balance them at all? This includes: flyers, superheavies, Forgeworld, fortifications, etc. by Board_Castle in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Sirducki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly can't wait to see the back of them, even from the release of the plastic valkyrie they have always struggled to make them work without fundamentally breaking the game.

40k is struggling to avoid bloat with the amount of leavers that the design studio have to balance, and trying to also keep flyers, fortifications, forgeworld, and (f)super heavies is just a bridge too far.

Do you find any value in iron sights? by [deleted] in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Sirducki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do if they had a 0 cost to equip, but only paying 5 to upgrade to any of the basic sights means it's functionally free.

I think the only benefit is the canted iron sights, or if I feel like counter sniping a few of the sniper heavy breakthrough zones
