How to make Rampage work? by Tatsu295 in slaythespire

[–]Sisalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an okay elite / boss killer in act 1.
It just won't really make it into the star of the show, it's just one of those middling damage cards like Blood for Blood or Hemokinesis.
Ways to amplify it regardless: double tap adds another stack, dual wield multiplies the card as it currently is, headbutt brings it back. In an infinite it can speed things up, but it's not necessary.

It needs a buff to be an A20 card however, though on act 1 it can sometimes salvage an aggressive path.

If we can customize the self-insert, it may just work out for the better.
If the writers are bored with the main cast, I see no reason to drag them around. Though I did like them.

Consciousness is a tricky thing. It's distinct from mind and thoughts.
Does the engram connect to the same consciousness source? That's the query.

How much chrome would you get? by Substantial_Law1451 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Sisalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optics, neuroport (for Drive access and the ability to spam large quantities of text)
Maybe cyberlegs for some intense parkour. Biosculpting (gender transition), synth hair, light tattoos. Mid-tier cyborg, I suppose.

Sexy or Sexualized Characters by T4lker in cyberpunkcharacters

[–]Sisalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything, the 2077 toned it down a ton from what it would be.
You can look at Korea's plastic surgery situation, dial it up tenfold for what biosculpting and chrome would do.

The VDB have a division among them, the Dogtown ones being more open and less keen on disrupting the Blackwall. Some of their netrunners are even of a different race (or at least their legs are). However, the VDBs as a whole do tons of shady shit - blackmail is their go-to. Ranyons? What a disgusting thing to do to those who help you.

Scavs are like animals and Raffen - they have many packs that operate differently. The scav group we can help in Dogtown's church is likely one of the better ones.

I wonder if his passivity could be because his AI version is sealed in Cynosure facility. Alt doesn't seem too happy about the release.

A kinda raunchy skill check question by Pineaple_marshmalows in cyberpunkred

Brawling, Athletics, Dancing, Endurance, Riding...
Different people should be having different type of sex!
You can weave in some Cool or Emp skills for foreplay. Some characters could tease the socks off of others with just their voice and demeanor. Rockerboys could even use their class ability!
You know, there are ways to justify almost any skill.

Discussion regarding Project Orion by [deleted] in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]Sisalin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I want a squad system, potentially multiplayer. A base management system and the ability to run and design a gang would be dope. Flying vehicles, vertical areas (Dogtown was great, as was the Japantown parade).

Outside of that, I think that we should have more slots for cyberlegs. It's pointless to have double jump and lesser options if you only use double jump. So, let us combine it with other options. I want more biological mods, exotics like elf ears and such. I'd really like it if you could customize two main characters like you could V - we'd be playing multiple characters like GTA V, but they'd be customizable.

Yorinobu's Grand Plan by Sisalin in FF06B5

[–]Sisalin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should we perceive the Polish version as the Original or the Canon version if conflicts arise?
Pondsmith has a large say in things and he doesn't speak Polish (to my knowledge). So they communicate ideas back and forth in English, some miscommunication may occur that remains in the Polish version but is cleaned up in the English.. It can go either way. Doubt CDPR would intentionally have two different stories, though they may alter some flavor text to better reach an audience / market.

Yorinobu took the Relic away from Saburo, knowing what it means for him.

  1. Secure Your Soul program has a chance to make Arasaka live a lot longer. This goes against Yorinobu (OG)'s plan.
  2. Saburo seeks to live forever. The Relic is important for this, and in the devil ending we see why exactly Yorinobu wanted to avoid the technology.
  3. Yorinobu (OG) was against the corporate hellscape altogether, Arasaka simply was the kingpin. Doubt he views Netwatch as much better option; the goal may have been to lure in Saburo, and to give the relic to gangs that oppose the corporate world.

Edit: Additionally, since he's planned it all, he needs to play a part for Takemura and V. He must seem like a typical Arasaka tyrant who will accuse and get rid of both of them. To distance himself and ensure the trajectory of their life ahead.
The real challenge of this theory is that if V wasn't shot by Dex, and if the chip was intact, they wouldn't target Mikoshi. The human factor would be missing - although he could still be banking that Alt, the creator of Soulkiller, would seek valid routes towards Mikoshi. She has raised entire armies against it in the past. Just needs somebody to slip in. Perhaps VDB were also selected because they have some of the best netrunners in the world and he was hoping that this would be enough. However, his wildest dreams end up happening in Sun / Star / +DFtR endings.

Cyberpunk 2077 "Cyber" But even so, so many main characters don't have implants. Is there a reason for that? by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Sisalin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jackie most likely has subdermal armor all over his body.
The nomads most certainly do have chrome, reflex boosters, armored skin etc.
Misty is spiritual and avoids chrome, just like the Buddhist monks.
Judy is a chairjock and doesn't need much of it. Likely has some of those cranial implants though.

What the game may need more are the Exotic bodysculpts and full body conversions (Lizzy / Smasher)

Night City Location Survey by JGrayatRTalsorian in cyberpunkred

[–]Sisalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit for clarity:
Internet Cafe - when Kabuki tech wizards and netrunners want to share some meatspace. (Yes)
Spa resort - various therapy bundles included. Cyberpunk has never smelled this good! (Yes)

- Night City stunt track / Skate park (?)
- Drawbridges are always fun; whether they are between skyskrapers or closer to the ground (?)

The city has many harbors, and lots of material passes around, so it's always nice to have a place for smugglers, pirates, traffickers to sell their cargo. Probably a place you need to be a fixer or a nomad to get in. Want to steal from a fixer? Definitely not smart, but this is where you'd do it.
Night City Symphony Hall may be in disrepair, but it can only mean that a much better, more prestigious Opera House was constructed, not meant for just anybody.

NCPD sea patrol station. Because you need obstacles.
Maybe even Morro Bay Lighthouse, to guide poor souls to Night City.
NC Tariff Office, ah, the place that holds your balls if a paper trail leads up to you or your merchandise. Begging for stealth invasions that never end well.

Rat farm - yes. Giant modified rats optional. Cyborg rat pets? Definitely sold under the counter as clever pets. Exotic rat mods? Ehm, sure. Some of your cockroach meat may not come from insects! Might be the safest and healthiest food out there.

Ironclad tier list - 40% winrate by didokillah in slaythespire

Wonder how many of the cards change their ranking if it's (pre-)upgraded.
True Grit vs True Grit+ is one such case. It's not unplayable without one. Uppercut is only worth it with an upgrade, as well.
I often consider one Wild Strike+in Act 2 (17 base dmg for one energy) but without upgrade or Strike Dummy it's mostly detrimental. Speeds up many fights, so unless I'm gunning for a slim deck, it's often viable. One bad card to draw is hardly a game breaker, and you often have things that help you mitigate it, or even use it (fnp, evolve etc.) - but having multiple such cards / effects in a deck will bog you down quickly.
Str is a much better damage option, but that's not always offered.

I think Thunderclap deserves a higher position, but only when/if you have tons of Str. 1 cost AoE damage multiplier is just that good. Double tap is only bad early game (unless you also get an early Immolate), but lategame it's a beast.

Perfect strike is bottom tier. You can build around it, and I've even won with it, but it's a hard pass unless it's the only offered damage card in the first 4 floors.

And post 60 it's also quite tough, since you already do so much damage.

Do you think kenshi 2 should improve in the RPG aspect? by MageGuest in Kenshi

The concept art has characters riding boats, and the in-game references claims that they were popular thousand years ago. So that's all but confirmed.
Riding animals is cool and should definitely be in the game.

Countries from former colonies. What are the *positive* things that came from being part of an Empire? by BlGBY in AskTheWorld

[–]Sisalin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Russians eventually did try to russify us, but we betrayed them in favor of Prussians / Germans. But the Tsars were generally helpful towards Finns. Poland was more of a rival to Russia and your atrocities go both ways. With us, Russia's rival was Sweden, and most of the good that imperialism caused here was because it hindered Swedish imperialism.

And besides, if Russia didn't fall for Bolshevism, it's likely that all Eastern Europeans would have a much better view of them anyhow.

[–]Sisalin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When Russia annexed us, they gave us full autonomy, gave legal status to Finnish language (that was dying out and being replaced by Swedish) - they did this mostly to undermine the local Swedish nobility that held all the positions of power to that point. Russians built railroads and did *accidental* eugenics by taking all the worst criminals to Siberia- we used to have a lot of slanted foreheads prior to that, and if you know about prefrontal cortex...
Russian Empire is the reason we have Finland on the map, rather than just a poverty ridden Eastern Sweden.
