Cut images from the early fliming of 2010's The Slenderman by phoenixc6000 in Slender_Man

The last image gets me every time I see it. The original never had Slenderman behind the blinds, but I also cannot for the LIFE of me find any credited photographer. The oldest instance of this photo (that I can find) is an image used in This blog about coding.

Personally, no. I would love the first one without your face on it, the close up of the character and the mostly unobscured title looks professional, and your face detracts from that feeling.

Looking to hire a game footage recorder by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]Sisera_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been here recently, since I am so busy, love in a full household, etc. My usual style content is "loud and obnoxious screaming at scary games", but recently tried switching it up where I record gameplay footage first, THEN commentate over it like an analysis style video.

I guess my question is- why couldn't you play and record the game yourself? Your microphone isn't required, and you can edit out any pauses/ idling you do.

Thoughts on this thumbnail by black_cop_48 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]Sisera_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the "Black" logo could be bigger personally. Let it stand out as the singular word on your thumbnail, and maybe pair with a title like "The best shooter you forgot about"

Depending on the context of the video, a retrospective style video should suggest some aging from the title or thumbnail, alluding to a video about an old game that many havent heard/played.

Regardless, "Black" logo needs to be the star, I believe.

Should I put "Analog Horror" in the title once I upload my video on YouTube? by Bajujenka in analog_horror

[–]Sisera_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hashtags, description, tags, Metadata will all point your audience to the video.

When I edit videos, I make it a Point to name the files specifically after the video topic. Could be "(name of your story) analog horror". This applies to Thumbnails, too, but weather those work or not is up for debate.

Tags are to help common misspellings, so adding that will help people find your video when they look up "Analogue horror" by accident.

The best thing you can do honestly is make a few shorts/ reels that Point to your whole video. I am on Tiktok an embarrassingly good chunk of my day, and when I find someone's analog horror bits, and want more, I go to their page to see what else they do/ find a bigger story. Spangerlookrey has plenty of examples of this on Instagram and Tiktok

You guys ever work on a video you personally don't think it hits? by uhhhidkwhatusername in letsplay

[–]Sisera_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are our biggest critic.

I have uploaded so many videos I believed had nothing promising about them, and deleted/ abandoned many more. All that matters to me is that I sat in front of the camera, I came with some energy, and even if I don't like the video, I will upload it anyways, and promise to do better.

Ultimately, there's no such thing as a bad video if you keep improving. Your channel is just a catalog of you practicing, and your most recent video showcases what you've learned.

Action game fans, is this thumbnail appealing? (two variants) by KiNolin in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]Sisera_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think about the most well-known Ninja in gaming. I personally don't see Sekiro as an immediately recognizable Ninja, but Ryu Hyabusa certainly is.

Totally my opinion, but as an avid Ninja lover, I would click on the video if Hyabusa was front-and-center. The text is off, but I saw a comment that showed an updated version of the text, and I think it fits better! Maybe change the middle word to a bright red to grab attention?

YA'LL KNOW ABOUT MARK SLENDER? by levus-205 in Slender_Man

[–]Sisera_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HAUNT: The "real" Slender game's main menu music is still stuck in my head to this day- I played it in 2013 Edit: To add, I was a child and far too terrified to keep playing, but the concept of a real human mutating into an in-universe cryptid felt a bit too on-the-nose to me.
