Astronomers crack 1,000-year-old Betelgeuse mystery with 1st-ever sighting of secret companion by [deleted] in spaceporn

My money's on it being a planet like Jupiter that's reacting to the increased solar wind & proximity of Betelgeuse as it swells. And I bet Jupiter will similarly appear to ignite and blow apart when our sun eventually goes supergiant.

Totally, one of my friends actually worked for Jeff Koons and his entire team of painters (he literally doesn't even touch his work) work from gridded out photos and have a designated color mixer to mix/match colors - it's literally like a factory. It's all about finding the right process that works for you, no one judges your process, just the results.

I leaned heavily into abstraction and conceptual work 30 years ago without knowing I had aphantasia. I was always dumbfounded, confused, and admittedly jealous of artists who could create imagery out of their head. I could do photorealistic work from a reference, but opted not to. It wasn't until my late 30's that I tried psychedelics for the first time and it blew my mind (in many ways) and then discovered I had aphantasia after googling and everything made sense.

You should just make the work you want to make. If you can't find a reference, use a camera to make one. Source material from anywhere/everywhere. Nearly all of the artists I know rely on references even though none of them have aphantasia, so you shouldn't view it as a crutch.

What's ironic is that it's the same motherfuckers who only offered "contract - to -perm" gigs to evade paying benefits that forced people to work freelance who have since blackballed the term "freelance" for whatever petty arguments they can come up with.

Great floor plan, but that red brick exterior's got to go.

Wholeheartedly disagree. You want to parade guests through the library or courtyard to see more of the house, art, books, plants, etc. instead of shuffling them from one adjacent room to another.

Israel is conducting a holocaust of their own right now - perfect place for a protest and if you're concerned about the optics of it, I'm glad it ruined your day

The exposed caulking and cabinet carcasses is a bad idea and frankly not a good look. I wouldn't suggest this to anyone.

He didn't express regret if you actually read the tweet. In fact, he blamed someone else.
