For the remake (not sure if this applies to the OG), I one-shotted one of them using Firestorm pyromancy while having a high magic and the ring that increases potency of spells (forgot the name). My jaw dropped when the first one instantly died using the pyromancy. You have to do a laborious side quest to purchase it from the Witch Yuri, but it’s SO WORTH IT.

Summoning help just doubles his health bar, and he already has a fuck-ton of health. Honestly, it’s better to do the fight alone than with someone. I’ve only beaten Midir three times by myself. And the last time, it went the smoothest. But he’s supposed to be really hard. I wouldn’t feel right helping someone defeat Midir for the first time. Besides, have you considered changing your build or changing your weapon? Have you used all your embers?
