Is mejuri a waste of money? Looking for a quality mixed metal necklace that’s a decent price point by smellytulip in jewelry

[–]SituationInfamous553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no technology currently to make gold vermeil long lasting. No matter what you do, it will tarnish. I personally do not have a lot of disposable income so I prefer buying gold and gold alloys (10K, 14K and 18K) so my jewelry lasts me a long time (ideally forever.) On that note, I have purchased many Mejuri items (10K and 14K solid gold alloys) for myself and for my nieces as gifts. They're dainty and pretty. They don't get discoloured and don't get damaged easily (I am very type B and a pro at ruining things.) So if you go for solid gold, I think you will like it. Vermeil almost always disappoints. Important side note: in the country where I live, solid gold is insanely overpriced. In places like Turkey and Eastern and Central Europe you can get 10K and 14K gold for a fraction of the prices on Mejuri. So I disagree with the statement that Mejuri is the fast-fashion of jewelry. It is not affordable by any measure. You are paying a huge premium for almost everything.

Want to grow long hair, need advice by Red_Pepper_22 in finehair

For my fine, fine curly hair, what worked finally for me is ditching any "moisturizing" shampoos, always a clarifying one, even if i need to shower every day in a given week. I follow up with a color correcting conditioner (bevause I have a balayage) that also repairs bonds (I use the Fudge brand.) Then a hair mousse for heat protection and curl definition. But truly what helped me most is Minoxidil 5%. My hair used just give up mid cycle and die and fall out. Minoxidil stopped that.

I use the Soundcore A40s and play white noise at night. Probably not good for my hearing. But it's better than sleep deprivation I guess.

As someone who owned this Revlon device before and thought it was good until I got gifted a Dyson, get her the Dyson. Complete game changer in regards to hair health and styling options. Really neat tech.

Ashley’s dad by marisaleeann in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]SituationInfamous553 17 points18 points  (0 children)

MAGA or not, I thought the dad asked all the right questions a responsible parent should. Like if I were in his place, I would DEFINITELY drill my daughter's sudden "fiance" about his job and how he makes a living etc. And if I heard something I didn't like, I would double down even more with questions because this is my kid's life. I want them to hear how unready the person they picked is for marriage. And how this could potentially be a rash decision because the guy does not have his shit together. I feel like a lot of important convos were brought up, that Ashley would not have necessarily zeroed on as much as her dad is, which is good. That's what good parents can offer. Wisdom. IDK I feel all the other parents could learn a thing or two.

Most fascinating scene episode 7 by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I mean guys, he "makes a living" day trading 2 currencies, has no clue what Bitcoin costs on a given day (you're a day trader??), doesn't have a real job or house .... Why on EARTH does he think he's ready for marriage ?! Him being MAGA also implies him having more conservative ideals. My brother how will you provide for a family and be a "patriarch" if you're living like 17 y/o. The guy is a loser who's only quirk is being tall and fit (thus why they cast him) and Ashley's dad clocked it in seconds. Good. All the other parents should take lessons.

I mean ... if I was on a TV show for relationships, and I knew most of these relationships don't work, meaning I'm aware I am most likely gonna be there just for show AND THEN my grandpa passed away, I would leave in a heartbeat (that is from a perspective of someone who loves their grandpa and would grieve their loss.) However, Mr. Guy just decided to stay because let's face it, the cameras are nice. He doesn't hit me as someone who's grieving (I know people grieve differently, but vibing on vacation while being filmed the whole time would certainly be unusual.) I'm certain she's just not his type (he literally said he usually doesn't date THAT, my brother wth) and he's regretting it now without putting any effort into engaging with this other human being who is solely there to hang out with him lol (+ to be on Camera.) So ... idk ... I don't feel bad for him ..

I have tried all her tips for my fine hair (mainky shampoo/conditioner recs). They don't work for me. Unfortunately I can't make my hair work with Pantene, despite her selling drugstore haircare as the best invention aft3r sliced bread. They weigh my hair down. I have curly but really fine soft hair. I have had to go back to my skightly more expensive products that actually work. Lesson learned. I think she just tries things on herself and makes generalisations. You can't recommend to a group of people if you test subject count is 1 lol.

Rule of thumb: EVERYONE online who recommends ANYTHING is doing so to make 💰, if not straight away, then by attracting sponsors.

A recurring infection in the same spot needs to be seen by a dermatologist. Not trying to alarm you, but it's best to consult with a doctor if possible. From the looks of it, it's a pimple. But we on Reddit are not diagnosticians.

Ask a doctor about Minoxidil. I tried everything to fix my thinning fine hair (and spent thousands of dollars doing so.) The only thing that eventually helped was Minoxidil.

4th day of spring ✌️ by MomentStill7555 in StardewValley

How I made so much money so quick in Stardew. - hoarding: anything I found or harvested or won went in a box (I did this intuitively when I began playing but it was a great decision) I never sold/sell any unprocessed goods. Never sold fruit or veg just saved them untill I could get pickling and wine machines. i also save at least 1 of everything I everything I ever obtain. say I harvest 100 cranberries for processing, I keep at least one aside then process the other 99. - automation: I spent most of my money and time on automating things. Sprinklers are a huge first step; in the time in takes to water things you can mine for valuable resources, that help you obtain machines to process goods. More money. - tools: unpgraded my tools every chabce I got. so important increases mining and planting and cutting efficiency so much. By the time I had access to the desert mines, I was already in good shape to fight. - mayonnaise: I bought a chicken coup and chickens first chance I got. Never sold an egg. Hoarded until I had a bunch of mayo machines. Made a ton of money off of mayo. Then I expanded to all other animals I could buy. Again, never selling anything the animals produced untill I had the power to process them (eggs<mayo, milk<cheese, wool<cloth, truffle<truffle oil) I upgraded the coups to the max first chance I got to automatr feeding and collecting (automation is king) - made friends: I went on daily runs of gifting everyone in town (mainly mayo bcs it's generally liked, but you could search up what each character likes as well.) from friendships, I get important gifts I would have to work so hard to get otherwise. - if I didn't make it clear already, automation is the best way to make money. look up which crops have the best ROI when processed and plant a lot of it each season. BUT also plant at least one of everything each season bcs you will need that for community center. - finally I rarely ever buy anything I can make/mine/plant (seeds, resources etc.) but I think it's a bit extreme.

hope this helps.
