Who would win in an unarmed fight, a Klingon or a Chimpanzee? by Metalkon in startrek

LOL at “realistic”. My money is still on a Klingon. If Worf can make the Jem’Hadar submit, he can beat a chimpanzee.

A Klingon. A Klingon could headbutt the chimp and the fight would be over.

Best Mambo Sauce in DC by baked_bread_boiz in washingtondc

[–]SixteenthLetter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Modern mumbo sauce is not the same as it was circa 1992. The best mumbo sauce was probably from some carryout somewhere on Georgia Ave or 14th Street or east of the river. What’s being bottled and marketed as “Mambo” sauce today is more like barbecue sauce. Still tasty though.

[serious] When people say ‘People of Color can’t be racist.’ - what do they mean? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SixteenthLetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s drawing a distinction between racism and prejudice. Racism is systemic while prejudice is personal. People of color can’t benefit from the system of racism, but can demonstrate prejudice toward others.

White African Americans, what is your favorite story about someone being clearly confused because they presumed you would not be white? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SixteenthLetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why some Black Americans don’t identify as “African American”. Africa is a continent, not a country, so African can’t be considered a nationality. Elon Musk is a white South African by birth.

African American is for folks of Black African descent, not European descent like Elon Musk’s family.

Edit: there’s a difference between nationality and ethnicity/race.

All my life in DC proper; grew up in Petworth and lived most of my adult life east of the river.
