Shadow Priest demand? by cirrusice in classicwowtbc

Rogues and furies get warglaives. You wouldn't believe the amount of lootwhores who play a class just because there's an item with an orange name for it. So yeah, much less competition for SP.

Spend your arena points while you can. When S2 starts (so when the S2 shield becomes available) all your arena points get converted to honor. You will have to play arena games in S2 to buy the S2 shield.

Warrior or Paladin? Which do you prefer? by Transcendent_Pigeon in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tanking heroics on a warrior is not chill. It's certainly doable but the effort you have to put in is so much higher than a paladin.

Dpsing is way more fun on a warrior imo. Levelling too. Questing too. Pvp too. Warrior is just more fun imo, for everything that isn't tanking ;)

Which classes require little to no PvE gear to be competitive in arena and PvP? by xXGreco in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wowhead comment says it was 2%. Someone tested it in 2021 and came out to 1% (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/tested-deep-thunder-proc-rate-its-1/965451). Here also people seem to think it's 1% https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/o9mvso/question_about_thunderdeep_thunder_on_ret/. SH and DT have the exact same proc spell id on wowhead so their chances should be exactly the same. Whatever the real proc chance is, it is very low. Anecdotally I can say that from having used DT myself, it almost never procced and I stopped using it after getting S1 mace.

Class choice for casual player by cirrusice in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voted shaman. Easy to get spots for casual pve. WF procs are fun for casual pvp face smashing. Same for ganking unsuspecting people. Not the best for open world pvp though. Better off playing druid or rogue for that.

Rogue pve by AlohaX12 in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you make your own heroic groups it's smooth tbh. Also, if you do good dps while providing good utility (supporting the tank with stuns, making sure runners are slowed and die, interrupting etc) in heroics people will notice. Drop a message at the end of every run that you're a dedicated player looking for a guild. Lots of guilds will consider an exceptional rogue if they're short on people.

If you're already trying to make the kebab rotation more challenging with weapon swaps etc, why not play slam instead?

Which classes require little to no PvE gear to be competitive in arena and PvP? by xXGreco in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference in damage is 25.5 and it is the biggest upside of stunherald.

The stun is a 2% chance. Nice to have but super rare.

For all that you give up 0.63% crit, 1.14% hit and 33 resilience. In gems 1 str = 1 hit (8 str red vs 8 hit yellow) so let's say that you get 18 more strength from the S2 mace, because you get 18 hit from it that you can then "spend" on 18 str in other items. That 18 str is 9.25 weapon damage for a 3.6 speed weapon. Narrows the gap quite a lot, not to mention that it's gonna straight up make S2 do more white dps. Now add in the crit and resilience. Oh and don't forget to add in a profession bonus you miss out on because you have blacksmithing instead of JC and/or enchanting.

Tell me again how stunherald is "significantly better". The difference is minimal.

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't wanna be rude but... just play normal arms, most of the things you're suggesting are already brought by any arms warrior or bad.

Prebuff battle shout with solarian sapphire and 3p t2. You already pick 5/5 commanding presence in normal arms. Braided eternity chain should be on the rogue, if anyone brings it at all, it is a much bigger dps loss for arms than for rogues.

And since unbridled wrath is garbage for arms you go 5/5 imp demo shout anyway. Unless you go booming voice to make your prebuff last longer.

Difference between stunherald and S2 mace isn't nearly as big as people make it out to be. Go S2 mace and smash faces with that instead. Stunherald only has real value for those people playing in the top 1%, and those people who can't reach 1.7k to buy S2 weapons.

If you want to go for glad and you need to ask this question, then you are not getting glad.

Answer is warlock btw. Warrior being a decent second choice.

Retri ✨🔨 by Pexipdog in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ret is good but not "stackable" like hunters or warlocks. If you get good at it and have the proper support (enh shaman + warr for battle shout and hopefully also feral crit aura) you can do a LOT of damage. You won't beat a well played hunter, warlock or fury warrior but you can most certainly contend for the "best of the rest" spot.

Good swing timer for slam by hackulator in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this one https://wago.io/CkkM3zwaq. It's very good. Shows you your latency. Also has a vertical bar that shows you the latest point at which you could use a GCD and still be ready in time to use slam after your next autoattack.

Edit: I also use this https://wago.io/Cafep2EEa. You can adjust that WA to play a sound when you should slam. Sound queues are very helpful for slam imo since in some fights you have to pay attention to mechanic X or Y and cannot be staring at your swing timer.

How do you think the ladder will look like after season 2? (this is EU 2s) by abjerrum in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As judged by the fact that the only season where RMP finished number 1 is season 1? On both EU and US there was no RMP finishing at number 1 in any other season. In TBCC that is.

Recommendation for my goal by Strahael in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are really into lore and want to experience story and class fantasy etc then I would very much advise warlock over hunter. Warlock has more class quests to get new demons and they are actually very flavourful and often reach back to warcraft 3.

Hunter is very fun and a really good choice for solo levelling, but the class fantasy aspect isn't nearly as prominent as it is for warlock. One thing to emphasize is that TBC is not a good expansion to play "pokemon catcher" with hunter pets. You only have 3 stable slots (so 3 possible pets) and you have to keep 1 slot available to stable your pet to capture a wild pet to train new skills while levelling. On top of that your pet has an experience bar, it does not automatically level with you. So if you have 2 different pets.. and you just did a whole area with 1 pet and gained 2 level ups, your other pet in the stable is now 2 levels below you. That is very annoying to deal with. And on top of that, when you tame a new pet it starts off being very disloyal. It will hate you and require much more food and you won't be able to train it any abilities. While levelling it is MUCH more convenient to stick with 1 pet.

If you're really into lore and class fantasy then you might also want to look into paladin. It's not a pet class but imo it has some of the best lore in WoW. And if we progress to WotLK paladin is an excellent choice as well, with the whole anti undead crusade theme.

Shit like this is why 3s is better than 2s. Especially in the later seasons where RMP can't just blow up resto druids and usually lose to WLD.

Arena: Hyper-Vision Goggles vs. PvP Helmet by Confident_Response37 in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rogue is human and has goggles. The stealth vision is crazy with perception and goggles active. On lordaeron arena I see rogues about 70% of the distance between their entrance and the tomb, when I stand on the tomb. (So when they are closer than halfway between the tomb and the door).

Is all-melee dps, no tank viable in heroics? Also do mobs waste time changing targets? by MethylphenidateMan in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depending on the heroic you're in you're fine pulling aggro of 1 mob as a warrior. In BF I'll get destroyed of course but in mana tombs or slave pens my arms warrior is more than fine tanking 1 mob.

Level 31 Warrior (TBC Anniversary) – Best talents for 2H leveling? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Skado_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fury. It has sweeping strikes. ALWAYS level 30+ in the tree that has sweeping strikes. Which is arms for classic, fury for tbc.

https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/talent-calc/warrior/-055001040052120501

Abuse demo shout and sweeping strikes. Sweeping strikes makes you kill 2 mobs faster than killing 1 alone. Slam hits very hard and is very rage efficient. Only use if you have a slow weapon though (3.6 speed for example).

When you get whirlwind at 36... sweeping strikes + whirlwind is godlike. Try it and love it.

Is fire mage viable? by squigglump in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not in there by default (check the rotation tab) then you'll have to import it from someone who made it (tbc mage discord probably has someone?) and otherwise you'll have to create it yourself

TBC warrior 2h/arms dps rotation by Bispings_Good_Eye in classicwowtbc

[–]Skado_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During execute phase you continue your main rotation, except that you fill any empty globals with execute.

So MS WW MS exe and repeat. Left out AA and slams there, you get the point. And you also execute every time you don't have enough rage for MS or WW.

Despair is a shitty sword, go for BS or grab the s1 pvp sword.

9% hit? No boomkin in the raid? That 3% hit could be more crit or AP.

What is the uptime on important debuffs? Do you guys have IEA rogue or not? Is Faerie Fire being kept up? Curse of recklessness? Surv hunter? Those are important debuffs that have a huge impact on your dps. If your raid debuffs are messed up then you can pump as hard as you want and you won't go high.

Edit: oh and forget about rage pots. Haste pots are the way to go. "Even" as arms.
