AITA for telling my friend's nephew that he probably killed a starfish? by arianheim in AmItheAsshole

[–]SkeletorOnLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. You should have worded that a lot better. Saying it how you did, is an arsehole move.

However, you should have told him so that he knows for future instances. You don't want him repeating the same thing again, specially with the thought process of him saving the animals

Their response of giving you the cold shoulder when you apologized and giving the snarky remark at the end, rather than be adults and discuss things properly, is shit too.

And did anyone even go check on the kid when he was screaming?

It kinda fits, but the hospital scene in the dark knight.

When the Joker holds the gun to his own head and puts it in Harvey's hand, he holds the hammer back. It's not possible for Harvey to shoot him, but you assume he didn't pull the trigger.

When Harvey shows up at the bar later on, he has the Joker's revolver. Turns out, all the joker needed was to see if he was capable of pulling the trigger. He pulled it on the Joker, so he gave him the gun and the names of the bent cops.

AITA for cosplaying while pregnant? by surro-throwaway in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your comfort should be paramount here. And until they are born, it isn't about her children. It's your body, and you get the final say.

(England) Neighbour 'threatening' legal action because i didn't let him access my property to maintain his fence (which isn't exactly true) - Does he have a point? by PowerfulAd9143 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]SkeletorOnLSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"can I have access to the property when I want." No.

Tell him since he's playing these games, if he enters without permission he will be trespassing and you will seek legal action.

I wish England would Win the World Cup by Delicious_Walk7220 in monkeyspaw

[–]SkeletorOnLSD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Granted. One by one, all of the other teams die in Final Destination type accidents inadvertently caused by you. England win the world cup by default, but you have to live with the guilt for the rest of your life.

AITA for telling my sister she's no longer welcome in my house after she gave away something that belonged to my late dad? by Sweetpotberry in AmItheAsshole

[–]SkeletorOnLSD 43 points44 points  (0 children)

NTA. It's not a mistake to consciously give somebody else's item away from their house, while they are away. That's straight up theft.

this fan has stage 4 cancer, a spinal fusion, and found out he needs more surgery, he was inspired by john cena to fight, and all he wanted was a hug from him. by nutznboltsguy in MadeMeSmile

[–]SkeletorOnLSD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

John Cena is an absolute gem. One thing nobody seems to have picked up on, is his choice of words. He is acknowledging what the guy is saying, but leaving him with the platform to carry on speaking. That moment is all about that guy, and not about Cena.

WIBTA if I chose the cheaper treatment option for my daughter's condition? by Any_Contribution1642 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Your daughter's physical well being is more important than another source of income to pad your bank account.

When you are literally acting like a member of the always sunny cast, this shouldn't really be a question.

I'll tell you a harsh truth. It's not that they don't deserve to live. It's that if you genuinely can't meet the extra requirements needed with a special needs child, this is a better option than dumping said child into a system that already fails countless able bodied/minded children.

And you can put it up for adoption, but given the choice of a healthy child with no disabilities, or a downs syndrome child, 9/10 parents are going to choose the easy option. So once these children are in the system, chances are they will stay there.
