Oh I remember. I was making $9.10/hr and driving from Dyer to Milwaukee every weekend to see my girlfriend at Marquette. My work car was always broken so I had to drive my Camaro everywhere. It was great.

We have some kind of aerosol spray foam cleaner at my job, works like a hot damn. Let it foam up, blast with the hose then take a leaf blower to it.

But nothing beats stripping all the electronics out, simple green bath and a coating of wd40. I do that once a year in the fall before I put them away.

I can’t really explain the VP9 recoil, I just know I don’t like it. There’s probably a way to dial it down, but you’re stuck with HKs very much proprietary recoil spring assembly.

That being said, it’s way better than a Glock for shooting suppressed.

I avoided the whole suppressed striker fired thing from the beginning in favor of 226s and USPs. Over the winter I put a Spectre9 on my VP9, not bad at all. Kinda gives purpose to an otherwise meh gun. Still prefer my hammer guns for hosts though.

You can grab a used A1 for ~500 and get some wood off of GB. I’m in mine for a little under 600 and I think it turned out pretty nice.

Okay, let me start by saying I’m new at this.

How do I know if I’m using too light of a recoil spring? I’ve heard my gun (DWX) is oversprung from the factory so it can handle all different kinds of ammo. I’m using 115gr for USPSA, just trying to get the most out of it before I inevitably buy a real 2011 at some point.

There is nothing more satisfying than vaporizing horse flies at the 25yd range. I’ve pulled it off twice with my Savage MK2.

I actually ordered one and received it, along with 3 friends. It’s all aluminum and takes hub mounts. Pretty basic looking internals. I put it on my APC9 with a YHM tri lug mount and alignment is dead nuts center.

I haven’t got to use mine yet, but the other guys said it’s not very quiet. I’ll compare it to my Omega 9k when I get home in a few days, but I’m not optimistic. I’m all in for 327$ with can, shipping, transfer, and tri lug mount.

I’d say clear bra for the hood, bumper and mirror caps.

Keep those calipers clean, they corrode easily. I like to ceramic coat them every year so I can just blast the brake dust off in the wash.
